Tipping Points of Truth

The power of truth…new American heroes…uncovering fraud… Sgt. Crowley is Obama’s Waterloo

We’re approaching Day 3 of ‘the police acted stupidly’ uproar. Pravda will soon pronounce the whole thing ‘over’ and try to prop Humpty Obama back together on the grounds of a well-orhestrated PR recovery effort, including having ‘a beer with the boys’ at the White House with Obama, Sergeant Crowley and Professor Gates.

It’s not going to work. This was a popularity balloon puncturing event, and punctured balloons do not re-inflate. What happened involved a number of ideas we’ve discussed right here on Brushfires-of-freedom.com.

First, the truth is and has always been that Obama lied about his attitude toward race; he lied about his knowledge and involvement with Reverend Jeremiah Wright; he allowed a ‘post-racial’ mystique to surround him which was completely false. Obama is a racist with a big chip on his shoulder. However, insofar as winning the 2008 election is viewed as the goal line, it can seem that the lies prevailed over the truth.

But as much as political hacks and junkies of various types—such as Rahm Emanuel—want to believe that a Presidential election represents four years of guaranteed power, only truth has power. And truth, sometimes slowly, but always thoroughly, uncovers lies. As the lies are exposed, the liar’s power goes right down the rat hole.

Second, we’ve written of our expectation of new American heroes arising during this all-out leftist attack on America. We wrote:

They are going to be newcomers to the political scene; they may wear the label of either political party or no party; they may be male or female; black, brown, yellow or white-skinned; they may be rich, poor or in between--but they will have one thing in common: they will be American to the core. We’ve often cited Peter Ferrara’s essay on "What is an American?", but we’ll summarize it this way: an individual, blessed by and devoted to the American ideal of individual freedom and personal responsibility, with integrity.

We also said that many such individuals would arise:

Because the scope of Obama’s fraud on the American nation, and the breadth of his previously concealed radical left agenda, are just too large to ignore, too much to stomach. Their sweep encompasses ordinary Americans across the country, and contrary to the view of Pravda and the elitists, ordinary Americans aren’t really ordinary. They are the salt of the earth. They know a lie when they see one; they have picked up the smell of fraud;

Sergeant James Crowley fits the bill pretty well. He’s not ducking personal responsibility for what he did; and he’s not backed off the facts of what transpired despite what is no doubt near-overwhelming pressure to recant and/or sound some sort of sympathetic tone toward Obama. He has the clear conscience of a man who knows the truth and is comfortable with it and with himself. And he gave voice to the truth when he said Obama had no business stepping into something he knew essentially nothing about.

The combination of these two factors: truth outing Obama by means of an unscripted answer to a planted press conference question; and a new American hero in the person of Dan Crowley, who has the genius of ordinary decency—may well have created the definitive tipping point for the Obama presidency. And by tipping point we mean, as we also wrote here, ‘he has lost the team’. A growing majority of the American people have had their gut feeling validated: they don’t like this man and they do not trust him. We don’t think he’ll regain their trust unless and until he has an actual and transparent and good faith change of heart as to the nature and goodness of America—and we see no evidence of that this is likely to happen. As of Day 3, all we’ve heard is ‘regrets’, not apologies.

It’s no surprise that the immediate aftermath of the Gates flap was a meltdown among Democrats trying to salvage the government healthcare takeover. Many observers may think the meltdown was about disagreement with healthcare provisions. The meltdown was a reaction to this tipping point—to the recognition by a growing number of Democrats that the fraud that is Obama affects everyone; its brazen dishonesty is immoral and not worthy of support.

We don’t think he’ll recover. When Obama is being honest about who he is and how he thinks, he is not a happy man, not a likable man, and not an accomplished man. He is an angry agitator who does not have in him the greatness that is goodness. Americans do not want such a man to be their President. And they never would have elected him had he not deliberately concealed the truth about himself.

So the Axelrods and Pravda spin managers may convince themselves that the Gates/Crowley matter has been resolved, but it hasn’t and it won’t be. Obama is a fraud in many different ways; the Gates/Crowley matter has confirmed the fraud as to Obama’s attitudes toward race. They are not as advertised. Americans newly awakened by this fraud are going to take another look at the healthcare picture and cap-and-tax—and they are going to sense that these are not as advertised either.

People get angry when they are defrauded. They don’t give second chances. They want the fraud undone, and the perpetrator held accountable.

Stay tuned…truth is at work.
