The Ft. Hood Wake Up Call - Take Two

Last November we wrote of the Ft. Hood massacre:

The Ft. Hood massacre was a murderous attack by a fanatical Muslim who hated what he believed America stands for that is in opposition to his religion. Every sentient American knows this. Without exception. Every member of the American armed forces knows this. Without exception. The implications of this fact may be subject to debate—as in, what are we going to do about it—but the fact is not. Yet we are being treated to life in a state of denial, as the political elite and the Pravda media twist themselves into unrecognizable and utterly non-credible sources of information and commentary as they struggle to find some politically correct explanation that will convince Americans to just move on and not worry about it. They are so far gone in terms of credibility and judgment—reading and listening to what they have to say has become cringe-inducing…truly embarrassing. It’s becoming hard to be angry with them—they are just pitiful.

The averted Times Square bombing is now ‘take two’ in this seemingly never-ending psychodrama. We say ‘psychodrama’ because we are starting to wonder whether America’s political elite and mainstream media are populated by people who are truly psycho, as in insane.

With due credit to Rush Limbaugh for tracking down the quotes, let's focus on the highlights.

First we have New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, not a member of the media per se, but an obvious PC-liberal pal of CBS’s Katie Couric. Early after the car bomb was averted, Bloomberg speculated in an interview with Couric as to who was likely behind the attempted attack.

BLOOMBERG: If I had to guess, 25 cents, this would be exactly that. Somebody --

COURIC: A homegrown.

BLOOMBERG: -- homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn't like the health care bill or something. It could be anything.

And of course, once Bloomberg knew that he’d lost the 25 cents, he was quick to do what all political elites do:

BLOOMBERG: I want to make clear that we will not tolerate any bias or backlash against Pakistani or Muslim New Yorkers. All of us live in this city, and among any group there's always a few bad apples, but the people that live in the city are proud of the fact that this is the city that gives everybody from every place in the world an opportunity no matter what religion they practice, no matter where they or their parents came from.

Then we have Jim Acosta, a CNN reporter who, now faced with the fact that a man had been arrested for the attempted bombing who did not fit Bloomberg’s expectation, earnestly wonders what may have driven the man to do this:

ACOSTA: If it can be confirmed that his house was foreclosed on in recent years, one would have to imagine that that brought a lot of pressure and a lot of heartache on that family.

There’s no nice way to put this. These people are moral idiots. They are absolutely clueless, dangerous fools. If you ever needed proof that material wealth is not evidence of wisdom; if you ever needed proof that modern academic education has been dumbed down to a meaningless, common sense-less waste of time, these people have just delivered.

As Obama would say, “let me be clear” – and in the process we’ll save ourselves some writing, and use our Ft. Hood language. The man arrested for the attempted Times Square bombing is:

"...a fanatical Muslim who hated what he believed America stands for that is in opposition to his religion. Every sentient American knows this. Without exception."

Islamists are at war with America; they are not driven by the heartache of foreclosure; they don’t give a damn about healthcare or cap and trade or immigration or any other aspect of the radical left agenda. They actually hate radical leftism because it is godless; they hate the rest of America because Americans worship the God of Judeo-Christianity.

They are not appeased by gratuitous and phony Obama praise for the great achievements of Islamic civilizations of centuries past; they do not embrace any American ideals; they do not wish to assimilate with other Americans. They are driven by the teachings of the Koran; they worship and emulate a vengeful, hateful deity who bears no relationship to the God of Judeo-Christianity; they are evil; they have no place in America. They must be detected and removed; and around the world they must be defeated and destroyed, and their theology and its interpretation need to be changed and moderated. There is no other option, and the American people, including many Democrats, know it.

We don’t know how much longer the American people will accept ‘take three’, ‘take four’, etc. of this political elitist and media insanity. The American people are watching their attempt to create and convince us that we all live in their Potemkin world, where facts and truth have ceased to matter, and transparently shallow, oblivious and naive pontification pass for intelligence. Back on planet Earth and in real America, we the people are fed up.
