The Scope of Necessary Repeal

We were probably among the first to call for aggressive repeal of the Obama agenda, and we stand by what we wrote earlier, here and here. But as the November election approaches, the scope of necessary repeal deserves renewed focus and energy and commitment.

The scope of repeal must parallel the scope of the fraud perpetrated by Obama. The fraud has been sweeping in generalities—the post-racial, non-partisan, non-ideologue, transparent unifier—and specific—all legislation posted on the internet at least five days before any votes; no tax increases on those making more than $200K; Obamacare won’t raise the cost of healthcare or force you to give up your private health insurance or your choice of doctor, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

The candidates who deserve election are those who are unambiguous, generally and specifically, about their intent to act to repeal each and every piece of legislation passed since Obama was inaugurated, and use every constitutional mechanism, including defunding if necessary, to revoke the appointment of each and every ‘czar’, and revoke or repeal each and every regulation proposed or enacted by each and every federal agency since Obama’s inauguration.

“Oh get real” you say, or “c’mon, it’s not all bad”, or “hey, he won the election, and elections have consequences, so back down and ‘be reasonable’ about adjusting policies on the margins. We’ve got to be flexible, work with each other, find the middle ground. Anything else would be too extreme and too unsettling”.

Everything this administration is doing is too extreme and too unsettling; all of it is far outside the margins; none of it represents even the slightest good faith in attempting to find compromise and middle ground; and the only reasonable remedy in the face of fraud on this scale is to undo every bit of it. And the finale of unwinding the fraud is to impeach and remove Obama.

This is actually where the American people are already. This is the spirit of the tea partiers. This is where the elected representatives of the American government must go in order to preserve the America of the founding for future generations. What’s happening around the country is that Americans are looking for leaders in step with them. The Democrat Party is far, far, far to the left of the American people; it has become the voice and machine of massive government control of free people, and intrusion, regulation and suffocation of free markets. It is the government-as-god party, and it represents no more than 20% of the American people. The Republican Party is much nearer to the American people but is clearly not in step with them. Establishment Republicans are government tinkerers who think their policy tweaks are smarter and better than Democrat policies; as such, they represent maybe 10% of the American people. They are not even remotely aware of how dissatisfied and revolution-minded the American people are.

Rush Limbaugh offered an interesting new twist on the traditional ‘no third party’ argument when he noted that if the leadership of the Republican Party is unable to get in step with the American tea party movement, the American Tea Party will become a majority political party and the Republican Party will become an irrelevant third party. He’s right. The dynamics of thought-movement in America are such that the tea parties now represent an overwhelming majority of Americans. They are not ‘ruling class’ members or aficionados; they are Americans who love their country as it was founded.

The tea partiers have not the slightest qualms about a “Repeal Everything” agenda for the next Congress. And what the establishment is really misjudging is that the tea partiers aren’t disappearing after November 2nd. They are just getting started, and they are fueled by a fire that the ruling class long ago lost in the miasma of self-importance that is Washington D.C. A full repeal of the Obama agenda is what they will insist on—and they should—and they will not stop until they get it.

The remedy for lies is not more lies; the remedy for fraud is not more fraud. The remedy for lies and fraud is truth, and the truth is that America needs and must have a complete and foundational reset of this government; in effect, a repeal of this entire government.

As the founders put it, ‘with firm trust in divine Providence’, Americans are going forward with this scope of repeal, starting November 2nd.
