Rush Limbaugh is an American hero

We’ve written before of our view of the real legacy of Rush Limbaugh --he will someday join the highest ranks of American patriot icons. Few people understand that his is a courage that actually rises above the courage involved in combat. His is a moral courage to speak the truth in the mental realm, as the godless insanity of the left goes hogwild in hysterical accusation and slander to destroy him for doing so. Those attacking Limbaugh represent the most evil and mean-spirited and ignorant aspects of the human race. They seek to destroy good by calling it evil; they seek destroy truth by repeating lies. And now everyone is getting an unfiltered view of just how obnoxious and disgusting and repugnant these attitudes are.

Our previous essay was written against the background of the Pravda media trying to pit the elitist favorite Colin Powell against Limbaugh as the voice of the Republican Party. Now we have the spectacle of a media—both general and sports-focused—gone completely berserk in the effort to destroy Limbaugh. Sentient people are being treated to a vivid illustration of just how shoddy, corrupt and dishonest our media really is. Quotes attributed to Limbaugh are taken out of context (usually a satirical context) or sometimes just made up; the race hustlers go into overdrive to get Limbaugh thrown out of a possible bid to buy the St. Louis Rams; the media creates a template of ‘racism-must-be-denounced’; and the Commissioner of the NFL dutifully bows to the need to avoid ‘divisiveness’.

The media believes it is doing its job to ‘report both sides’ when it reports that Limbaugh denies the accusations against him. They are trying to place the story in the template of “politician accused of having an affair; politician denies it.” But what the media doesn’t know is that the people know that the accusations against Limbaugh are false. In simple terms, the entire controversy is built on a LIE, and everyone who listens to Limbaugh—a number said to exceed 20 million Americans—KNOWS IT IS A LIE. If you have any intelligence and any capability of discernment whatsoever AND you listen to Limbaugh, you KNOW you are not listening to a racist. You are listening to the heart and soul of the goodness and fairness and humor of America; to the bedrock of American values that lies at the core of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution.

People tend to wake up when they realize they are being lied to—and many people who can’t quite accept that they are being lied to have all doubt removed when the lies are baldly paraded in front of them daily and in the most manipulative and deceitful ways. And that is what our media is treating us to, every day, in its completely inaccurate, incompetent and distorted view of what this contrived controversy is really about. Consistent Limbaugh listeners, most of whom are already awake, are now being joined by occasional and new Limbaugh listeners—and every single one of them is coming out with eyes wide open as never before.

So the country is actually benefiting from this—a new chapter in the Limbaugh legacy—though the benefit is not going to be understood by the media and won’t be picked up by the media-designed polls. The benefit is that Americans are now becoming literally fighting mad about what is happening to their country in the hands of the leftist intellectual elitists that are trying to control them with their politically correct, deranged concept of ‘truth’.

It’s hard to know where this will lead, but the anger is getting palpable. The mainstream media has exactly zero credibility now, but they don’t even realize it. So they continue down the same path every day, and they are throwing gasoline on the fire. Roger Goodell may think he has had to deal with tough issues in the past, but what he’s done in supporting the removal of Limbaugh as a possible part owner of an NFL team is going to harm the NFL far beyond anything of the past, and perhaps irreversibly. We’ll posit a guess that 80% of the NFL’s paying fans are Limbaugh fans, too. Conventional wisdom will say that nothing will turn Americans off of football. Count us as highly doubtful. Just watch what happens to attendance in the coming weeks.

Limbaugh now has the opportunity to launch the all-time ‘teachable moment’for the nation by suing all at once the entire mainstream media that has slandered him, and then watching as the lawsuit unfolds and the media is exposed for the shameless, mindless, agenda-driven propaganda organ that it is—from executives to reporters. Who knows—maybe 75% or more of the American people will be awakened—and when that happens, the elitists will be running for cover like the cowards they are. And the Democrat Party may disintegrate into oblivion before our very eyes.

You probably won’t read this many other places, but we’re actually pretty sure that the fury on the left is a sign of weakness—a sign of the imminent collapse of everything godlessness stands for: from political correctness instead of morals and marriage, to man-made global warming hysteria, to swine flu hysteria, to the healthcare crisis that isn’t. Even as we write this, and the Senate Democrat leadership moves toward using the budget reconciliation process to pass nationalized healthcare, we think we’re seeing the process of collapse. The leftist agenda is simply not what the American people want—and the people in Congress know it--but instead of patience and persuasion, there are lies and lies and more lies and a determination to ‘ram it down their throats’. This entire leftist agenda and its representatives are going to fall. The little sideshow with the NFL and Limbaugh may be the spark that lights the fire that leaves the entire leftist apparatus in the Political Class, the media, and academia, in ashes.
