Carl Paladino - and Residual PC-Disease

The so-called conservative pundit class is rising up as one to denounce Carl Paladino, the Republican candidate for governor of New York. Seems Paladino has committed various indiscretions in calling out the media for giving Andrew Cuomo a free pass on his marital indiscretions while pounding on Paladino’s, in describing gay parades as disgusting, and in telling a reporter he would ‘take him out’ if the reporter continued harassing Paladino’s daughter from his acknowledged mistress.

It is the behavior of the pundit class that is disgusting, and displaying yet another example of just how much PC rot is still to be rooted out of the Beltway elites on both sides of the political aisle. Here’s hoping Carl Paladino serves as the catalyst for the removal of this rot; here’s hoping the American people of New York will rise up as one to elect him to do just that.

We just can’t fathom the constant need of elites to affirm their bona fides as elites—as those who are the protectors of everything civil and refined, while living lives of great comfort and affluence built from the labors of people who are every bit as civil and decent, but who have a little more connection to the truth.

Normal people don’t like having their innocent children hectored by the media; normal people are P’O’d by such conduct; and normal people eventually run out of patience and actually step up and make it stop. They are right to do so.

As to the bias and double standards of the media, the phrase ‘sick and tired’ has been diluted by overuse; we need a new expression to cover the depth of feeling that is about 100X ‘sick and tired’, and then use it to convey Americans’ feelings about the mainstream media. Carl Paladino gave voice to that feeling in his comments about the non-coverage of Andrew Cuomo’s behavior, and Americans everywhere privately cheer for him. But the pundits must win the approval of each other, and so the correct take on Paladino is that he is uncouth, ill-mannered, and we simply must all agree that Andrew Cuomo has by default become the only acceptable choice for governor of New York. We don’t all agree.

Now, let’s turn to parades. Imagine a parade of adulterers celebrating their affairs. Imagine a parade of porn stars celebrating their favorite sex scenes. For that matter, imagine happily married couples staging a parade about their favorite sexual habits. Is there any public ‘parade’ focused on the theme of sex that is anything other than disgusting? To acknowledge this simple truth is not puritanical; it is not evidence of repressed, Victorian attitudes about sex; it’s not homophobic or any other kind of ‘phobic’. It’s what we know in our hearts to be true. Americans are disgusted with the elitist-led cultural rot that has led us to the place where we are to accept the portrayal of all humanity as nothing more than sex-crazed animals, and must nod approvingly and ‘compassionately’ at anyone and everyone who makes sexuality an in-your-face cause of one kind or another. Carl Paladino just said so.

The pundits want to affirm their relevance and power by driving Paladino to defeat, and current polls allow them to pat themselves on the back. But the people may not have made up their mind just yet.

Here's to the American people of New York rising up to throw off the pc shackles of the elitist punditry. Seems to us that Carl Paladino stands guilty of normalcy and voicing the truth. Sounds like a great governor to us.
