The Pace of American Restoration is Quickening

As we scanned the news and punditry coming out of Labor Day weekend, count us grateful and a little bit in awe of how rapidly and effectively America is restoring herself.

In the face of severe economic upheaval, a President who has turned out to be a complete fraud relative to the candidacy he portrayed, and a House and Senate brazen enough to put their bribes and backroom deals and ‘never-read-the-bill’ behavior on public display, Americans have remained remarkably peaceful and calm, yet all the while building the will and determination to restore the America of the founding through new leaders winning new elections. This has been a remarkable demonstration of civility and democratic maturity.

Our own sense is that momentum to remove this entire government is building very rapidly now. People across the political spectrum realize that the very ‘best case’ scenario is that the US government is in the hands of rank amateur, incompetent, radical leftist ideologues; the worst case involves very dark forebodings of nefarious designs and intentions that are frightening to contemplate. But either way, the solution is to remove these people and their thinking from office on a scale never before witnessed in America. That’s what’s coming in November.

But as we’ve already noted, it’s not going to stop in November. The awakening that has occurred is too deep and too broad to be stupefied into going back to sleep based on some naïve notion that one election cycle is enough to repair the damage. The Soros/Obama/Reid/Pelosi agenda has brought America back to its spiritual roots, and the thinking that has resulted is impelled by a rediscovery of and rededication to the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. It is really impelled by a rediscovery of and rededication to God and truth. That’s what Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally was all about, but as Beck would acknowledge, he did not personally cause the 500,000 people to show up on the Mall in Washington D.C.; they showed up on the Mall as a reflection of who they are as people, as Americans responding to a unique and powerful God-given heritage.

Yes there is a long way to go, and the Pravda media seems determined to fight it every step of the way through distraction and misdirection of various kinds. But a people reacquainted with God and truth are not so easily deterred or derailed, and they certainly have stopped buying or being afraid of the 'racist, bigot, homophobe' description of themselves. They know it isn’t true, and a lie, once exposed, is never feared again.

In the face of this reality, it has become simply embarrassing to watch this administration run a new $50B stimulus bill up the flagpole. “Stuck on stupid” comes to mind; so does the common sense definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. Insanely stuck on stupid is a good description of a radical leftist.

Americans are not stupid and will never be stuck on stupid. They were fooled, but now they know they were fooled. They are reacting the way an intelligent and worthy people would always react to having been fooled: they are going to fix it with a vengeance. And in an ironic twist, they are actually defining sanity: they are returning to the things that made for great results in America—namely, America’s founding Judeo-Christian principles—and they are expecting the same great results again. They will get them.
