Obama - Fraud - Resignation
The words “Obama” and “fraud” are gradually uniting in public thought, and “resignation” isn’t far behind. Powerful, positive adjustments are on their way. There will be plenty of pontificating after the fact; we’ll take a stab at the explanation, before they happen.
Barack Obama was not and is not qualified for the Presidency by achievement, character or experience. He carefully disguised who he was during the campaign, counted on the liberal bias of the mainstream media to shield him from full vetting, and then played on the deep reservoir of American goodness to induce a majority of voters to give him a chance as the first African-American President.
The plug has now been pulled on that reservoir, and David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, Robert Gibbs have no idea how fast it is draining. The media that provided the cover for Obama is slowly turning on him, but even more important, many of them will be out of business in a matter of months, not years. They are literal examples of paper tigers, building a grandiose “Great Man” façade around Obama, but one which could not hold up to reality. Less than ten weeks into this mess, the only thread holding the whole thing together is ‘approval’ ratings.
What all the king’s horses and all the king’s men are about to find out is just how thin an approval rating is. Putting aside the question of whether these polls are quasi-fabricated by any number of methods—which the media is fully capable of doing—the only way approval ratings can be squared with the mood of America, is to see them as measures of that same quality of American goodness that elected Obama. The ratings are, at least temporarily, just a voicing of the generic goodwill Americans instinctively feel toward the leader their fellow Americans have chosen. They don’t want to turn on him quickly, because that’s very close to turning on their country, and Americans don’t do that.
That’s why the liberal political hacks thought they had struck gold when Rush Limbaugh voiced his now famous “I hope he fails” line. They were sure this could be sowed among the ignorant masses to generate a solid, massive repudiation of everything conservative or Republican. How dare anyone speak that way of our new President? So heartless, mean-spirited, and unpatriotic!
But the mistake of all godless liberals is to assume wrongly in their caricature of the ignorant masses. The masses aren’t ignorant; they are actually among the men and women the Declaration of Independence spoke of as ‘created equal’ by God, and as such have hard-wired into them an intuitive discernment of truth and honesty and substance—as well as their opposites. Another mistake of all godless liberals is to confuse truth with opinion—or, more accurately, to believe there is no such thing as truth, and the battle of public opinion is just that—a battle of opinion, which can be shaped and spun and manipulated if they are clever enough. But truth does exist, and while it may be obscured temporarily, it is the rock that is never moved and in fact crushes to powder that which mocks it.
We've said repeatedly
that Rush Limbaugh’s popularity is due to the fact that his message is anchored in truth. The ‘approved’ condescension that labels him a mere ‘entertainer’ is so ridiculously out of touch. Yes, he is able to deliver his message in an entertaining style, but joke tellers don’t have 20 million listeners for 20 years. The influence he has is because his message connects with the American soul. It is the very same message Ronald Reagan espoused, and he connected in the very same way—to the tune of two electoral landslides, including one over an incumbent President.
In any event, Rush Limbaugh has five days a week when his message can’t be spun and manipulated; and
his CPAC speech,
both on video and via transcript, is being watched and read around the nation and the world, without limit. His radio audience has spiked tremendously, giving him powerful, ongoing ‘teachable moments’, as he calls them, in which to explain his principled opposition to what Obama is doing. And he’s connecting, for the simple reason that truth resonates. People know it when they hear it. When they actually hear Limbaugh ‘on a roll’, they know firsthand he is not heartless—he loves America; he is not mean-spirited—he is passionate; and he embodies patriotism in its highest, truest, most traditional sense.
The people see and understand for themselves that Limbaugh isn’t harboring personal ill will toward a newly elected President; he is drawing attention to policies and proposals that he believes are inconsistent with the ideals of the American founding—that he hopes will fail to be implemented because of the extreme damage they will do to the bedrock principle of individual freedom and responsibility under God. He is dead right—and the people sense it. The people begin to wonder why he is vilified and made to be on a Presidential ‘enemies list’.
Unlike President Bush, who always felt the dignity of the Presidency required an ‘above the fray’ refusal to respond vigorously to critics, Limbaugh doesn’t back down one inch. He does not ‘lash out’, but he takes the criticism head on, and refutes it with humor, intelligence and passion. He persuades.
The people sense that something’s not right about Presidential behavior in this context. This unease is added to an outrage so widely felt but deliberately glossed over by the media regarding the irrational, fraudulent non-stimulus plan; the undebated and undiscussed rewrite of welfare reform and nationalization of medical records; the brazen payback to ACORN; the budget loaded with earmarks; the non-sequitur of health care reform as a remedy for stock market collapse. The media wants to believe and wants the public to believe that these frustrations aren’t widely shared and are merely simmering as do most political disagreements. But they are delusional. The frustration and anger is palpable and growing; it is going to boil over.
And so the ground is shifting under the Obama White House, but they have no idea how much it is shifting and where it is leading.
Pundits have wrongly believed that the 2008 election count conferred a legitimacy on Obama that will protect him for an extended period; they see current approval ratings as confirmation of this. What they are missing is the growing recognition of the fraud that was perpetrated in that election. It was in fact the most illegitimate of election results—that’s the effect of fraud.
The chorus of ‘he isn’t who we thought he was’ is growing every day: David Brooks, Christopher Buckley, David Gergen and Jim Kramer are among the first to go public with this mea culpa, but they are not going to be the last. Charles Krauthammer added
a devastating blast
in the Washington Post. The leftwing media may continue for awhile with a ‘move along, move along, nothing to see here’ template, but intelligent people are taking notice that Obama is in way over his head—the dependence on the teleprompter being the latest neon-flashing message that oratorical skills do not equal substance—and his head is way out of step with the mainstream of the American spirit. The result is that people are feeling more and more, with every passing day, that they were defrauded in the 2008 election.
Axelrod, Emanuel and their media cohorts George Stephanopoulos, James Carville and Paul Begala, are deluding themselves into believing they are playing a PR game, and the Clinton-era ‘war room’ management of the 24 hour news cycle is all they need to hold the dam together. They’ll believe the race card will buy them unlimited time to keep marching along with their radical agenda. None of it is going to work. Fraud does not play well with the American people, and fraud victims see fraud—they don’t see skin color. When that fraud involves the highest office in their beloved country, that reservoir of American goodness and goodwill toward the President goes bone dry, and quickly.
A George Soros’ orchestrated market fix is about the only thing that would save Obama, but unfortunately for Obama, Soros is only good at engineering panic and collapse; he has no capacity to generate confidence in the face of an angry and dispirited and defrauded people.
We’ve already called for Obama’s resignation (click on the nearby "Essays" button to find links). We haven’t seen this picked up by the mainstream of commentators and analysts, but we believe it is coming. And when it does, it is going to have a moral force behind that will be impossible to resist. The people are righteously indignant, and a bunch of arrogant lawyer-talk about ‘proper’ impeachment procedures is not going to satisfy them. What Obama and the American media did to this country was a matter of conscious deceit—a Bernie Madoff-level political scam—and it will be righted when Obama has resigned and they are broke. That’s what is coming.
The pundit class will wail and moan that resignation is unthinkable; that it undermines faith and trust in our democratic system, perhaps even a ‘constitutional crisis’; that we will have race riots if there is an open call for Obama’s resignation. But as in most every case, the pundit class has it all wrong. What is unthinkable is the fraud Obama and the media perpetrated on this country. What undermines faith and trust in our democratic system is his continuance in office, flaunting power, and engaging in the Orwellian abuse of language on a daily basis—i.e., a ‘fiscal responsibility’ summit; a commitment to ‘reducing government waste’; ‘opposition’ to big government while claiming nationalized healthcare is the change Americans voted for in November 2008; and on and on. What would create a true constitutional crisis would be the inability of the people to rid themselves of this fraudulent government once the fraud is fully recognized.
Invoking the specter of race riots is the most delusional of all. Yes, there was a near monolithic black vote for Obama, but it was shaped and promoted by fraud of the liberal media, who would not vet Obama and show just how far out of step he is with millions of black Americans who do embrace the American ethic of individual freedom and responsibility under God. It pains them to see the Obama fraud become so evident, but they’ve sensed it, and they don’t like it either. If there is a specter of riots, it is of riots by Americans of all stripes, fed up with their government’s immoral, irresponsible behavior that is destroying the American heritage for generations unborn.
Obama. Fraud. Resignation. You’re going to start reading and hearing three words in the same sentence, soon.
