It's Not Hopeless

Americans are awake to the nature of this leftist war against America, and faith, prayer and Truth will pull us through

Americans are wide awake to the outrageous fraud that is the Obama administration and the Reid/Pelosi Congress. The sycophantic Pravda media is in denial and keeps telling itself that the conservative groundswell will run out of steam in part because there is no Reaganesque leader to channel and add to the energy. (Actually, Sarah Palin has Reagan-like instincts, and she very well could be the leader that Americans will rally to, but that is a separate subject.) The latest form of denial is coming from elements of the elitist right-leaning commentariat—only now it is couched in terms of the impossibility of the problems facing the country—i.e., even if the townhall protest types have lots of energy and strong conservative values, they’re too stupid to understand the complexity of America’s problems, which have grown beyond the ability of even our ‘best people’—as defined by elitists—to deal with them. We’ve collectively turned soft and unserious, and we just don’t know what to do anymore.

Exhibit A is the latest from Peggy Noonan. We’ve always considered her a good barometer of a sizable element of elitist thought. Her claim to fame arose from her stint as a Reagan speechwriter; she’s since gone on to be a weekly Wall Street Journal columnist. She certainly professes a strong Catholic faith, but her columns suggest she belongs mostly to the FHI (for ‘faithless human intellect’) school of thought which we wrote about here. It’s the school of thought that says, ‘well, sure, there is a God, but religion is mostly an afterlife thing, and we humans in charge here on earth have made such a mess of it that this time we really are beyond hope’.

This is utterly false, sadly foolish and does not grasp the spiritual stirring that is animating Americans. It is not a stirring generated by men and women, but by God. It is not going to be denied by clever or deceitful men and women; it is Truth itself that will ultimately crush the lies and the liars. And there is no human problem beyond the reach and the saving and ‘solving’ power of Truth, and men and women of faith are able to see this and prove it.

Spending out of control? Control it. But, you say, entitlements are driving the out of control spending, and we are politically unable to amend or terminate them. Wrong. We can both amend and terminate Social Security, Medicare, and many other forms of spending. We started them; we can end them. Of course it’s not easy, but we the people can see that we allowed a government to make promises that cannot be kept, and so we the people have to remove the government and revoke the promises.

A healthcare crisis? There isn’ t one. There is zero need to nationalize the healthcare system. Zero. As Kyle-Anne Shiver points out, tort reform plus interstate competition among health insurers would solve most of what needs to be solved. Beyond that, we don’t need or want the government to do anything more. We don’t need the Pelosi bill, and even it if passes, we can throw out this Congress and repeal everything it has done after 2010.

An energy crisis? There isn’t one. We have the resources we need; we can develop them with our own people; and we can do it without harming the environment.

Man-made global warming? There isn’t any. We need to be frightened of man-caused climate catastrophes like we need to be frightened of our shadow.

A debt crisis? Sure, the government got things wildly out of control in the mortgage market, and borrowers who borrow more than they can repay get themselves in trouble as well as the banks they borrow from. But foreclosures and bank closures reset the playing field in a positive way. Some borrowers and lenders will suffer from their bad decisions; that’s ok—that’s how they learn how to make good decisions. ‘Gee, but what about the risk of systemic collapse?” There is only a risk of systemic collapse if the truth that undergirds the system of risk, reward, failure, accountability, is denied. Once it is affirmed, freedom will sort things out. Doesn’t mean there won’t be pain in a lot of places, but it was ever thus. This is how we all learn.

Too many government takeovers? They are not permanent. Undo them. Divest the government’s ownership interests. Now. Let our people run our enterprises. Get the government out of the way. We can do this.

Inability to get enough people to agree on all this? Why? Truth is truth; people can grasp it and act on it. Stop the irrational sky-is-falling fear, and let freedom invigorate and purify the economic system. The result will be a better and more moderate climate; a trustable financial system; a surge in individual responsibility and accountability.

No problem that humans have created is beyond the healing and adjusting power of Truth. Truth is at the very foundation of America—all men and women are created equal by God, and are endowed by God (not government) with unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Men and women of every size, shape, form and color inherently feel the rightness of the ideas of freedom and responsibility under God—because they are the creation of the Creator; they are the spiritual offspring of Truth. The right leadership will emerge from among the people who most understand this to be true of themselves and others. There are plenty of them.

Truth isn’t going to change; it isn’t going to be defeated; and no amount of seeming complexity is beyond its reach. Truth does not have a lie that can fight with it; Truth simply dispels and destroys lies. Through prayer, faith and the power of Truth itself, Americans can prove once again that no enemy can take away America’s and humanity’s God-given heritage. George Soros has no power to fight against Truth. None.
