No Relapse in America

Pravda is peddling the story of ‘tightening’ Senate and Congressional races, ginning up polls to confirm their story, and hoping the lies will work one more time. They won’t.

Joe Sestak in Pennsylvania has said the $787B stimulus should have been larger. Patty Murray in Washington has proudly noted that she voted for Obamacare and not only read the bill but wrote part of it. These demonstrations of their liberal bona fides are said to prove that the American people love these ideas if they are just firmly advocated. Hogwash.

The American people may give temporary credit to any politician who says what s/he honestly believes. Honesty is a universally respected quality. But honestly held beliefs can be dead wrong, especially when based on lies. And the American people know it.

The stimulus was a lie. Obama recently admitted that there are no such things as ‘shovel-ready’ jobs; yet a primary selling point of the stimulus was its ability to immediately fund shovel-ready jobs and thereby spur employment. The stimulus was nothing but a massive first step of wealth redistribution designed to cripple the private sector, provide cover for tax increases, and place the nation’s finances in such precarious position that only a stronger, larger, more controlling government could be seen as the solution. The truth is that it the stimulus was and is indefensible, as its obvious failure makes clear. Sestak is peddling lies at a time when Americans are awake to the truth.

Obamacare is an even bigger lie. It never had the slightest connection with improving the healthcare system. It is legislatively incomprehensible, fiscally insane and fundamentally unconstitutional. Not one government program of any size has ever been administered efficiently, effectively and under budget; Social Security is exhibit A for an utterly bankrupt government-run program; Medicare is exhibit A-1; Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are exhibits A-2 and A-3. No private company that had turned in the financial performance of these entities would still be in business; and even more important, the management would be in jail for life. Yet Patty Murray stands there, proudly supporting the creation of a nationalized healthcare system that would make the failures and overruns and frauds of exhibits A, A-1, A-2 and A-3 look like rounding errors.

Ms. Murray has the right to be a fool, and Pravda will push the angle that all of this sells in a so-called ‘blue state’. But we’re not buying the argument that the American people in any state are rallying to this nonsense.

There will be millions of dollars in union dues spent to drive Democrat voters to the polls; and millions spent in attempting various forms of election fraud to create results for Democrats, but it won’t matter. They are supporting lies, and lies eventually fall on their own, and take the liars down with them.

Truth matters. Not political parties; not media stereotypes; not practiced deceit; and not pleasing personalities. America is bigger and more important than this. America has been given a foundation in truth, and it must be restored and honored. The spirit of the tea parties is the spirit of American awakening to this truth, and there will be no relapse into the mesmerism of lies.
