Obama in Turkey: More Dangerous Lies
We’ve now been treated to Obama’s visit to Turkey, and we’ve already commented on the utter falsity of his remarks claiming a positive influence of Islam on America. We’ve said very plainly,
falsity never helps.
So it’s time to take on another of his remarks, just as false and even more dangerous. Speaking of America, and acknowledging that it has a large Christian population, he went on to say:
“…we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values".
Let’s be blunt: the ideals and values of America are Judeo-Christian ideals and values. The elites can argue all they want about the semantics of what exactly is meant by “Christian nation” or “Jewish nation” but there is no escaping the fact that the founding of the American nation emerged specifically from a Judeo-Christian heritage and could not have emerged from any other religious heritage. We’ve spelled this out before,
in this essay.
There are legions of quotes of the founding fathers and other American patriots who most assuredly saw America as a Christian nation (you’ll find all you need at
The Patriot Post
).
The founding Judeo-Christian ideals of America have been the source of its strength and prosperity, and they always will be a source of strength and prosperity so long as they are recognized as such and followed. At Brushfires, we summarize those ideals to this single formulation: individual freedom and responsibility under God.
Obama’s rhetoric is right out of the godless intellectualism (or ‘faithless human intellect’, as we called it
in this essay)
that we’ve warned about. With egotism and arrogance, it takes the view that ideals and values spring from within humanity—from the created, and not the Creator. It’s false, and extremely harmful and dangerous for the well-being of America and the world.
In the spirit of warning and protecting America and Americans, and in light of the drivel in a recent Newsweek cover story, titled
“The Decline and Fall of Christian America”,
let’s go on and be blunt about a few more things.
There isn’t going to be a decline and fall of Christianity, ever. There may be a decline and fall of people who decide they are too smart or too busy or too independent to follow His commandments, but the fall will be theirs, not God’s.
There’s already been the only Messiah there is going to be, and His message was delivered about two millennia ago. Obama is not a messiah, secular or otherwise. He’s a man, and a very confused man. He’s not going to define a new truth or redefine an old truth. His godless, socialist worldview is already in the ash heap of history, and nothing about it is revivable or sustainable.
Freedom really is God’s gift to humanity, and it means, among other things, freedom from the tyranny of kings and dictators, or of any government that believes it is a substitute for God. Truth has not changed and will not change—and therefore neither has this freedom and our right to it. Obama and his leftist ideologues believe they can take this right away or control it to their satisfaction. They can try and are trying, but they are going to fail. They believe the power of a popularity poll is all the power they need. They’re going to find out that truth is power, and will not be denied.
Finally, no matter how much the elitists wish it, there is not now, and will never be any post-Christian era. The ‘way, the truth and the life’ have been delivered; it’s not possible to ‘un-deliver’. From time to time, there may be the appearance of a post-Christian era—the Bible calls it “spiritual wickedness in high places”—but that is what will be fleeting, not truth.
Obama’s remarks in Turkey have exposed him as never before as a radical leftwing extremist, and the world’s America haters are lapping it up. He has no idea how weak and vulnerable he is. He also has no idea just how many Americans are literally and figuratively up in arms over the fraud that he perpetrated on the America electorate in 2008. We urge him to resign. We urge Americans to demand that he resign.
