Masterminds vs. Truth

Americans are growing very tired of the radical leftist playbook; it’s just an endless denial of truth that depends for its survival on a relentless effort to manipulate thought through spin and deceit. It counts on there being no truth except what people can be led to believe. As the saying goes, ‘twas ever thus’, but it has become especially transparent and offensive with the Obama crew. The good news is, it is so transparent and offensive that a real revolution has been stirred, and America may be on the doorstep of major, lasting and positive change, built on a reawakened appreciation for the fact that there is such a thing as truth.

America’s founding is anchored in unchanging truth—it’s only popular opinion that changes. The unchanging truth is that individual freedom and responsibility under God, with inalienable individual rights given by God and not men, remains the highest and best governmental organizing principle known to mankind. When it is kept clearly in focus and honored in spirit by enough people, it is a guiding light that lifts everyone. When it is consciously repudiated by men and women who think of themselves as masters of the universe, things get dark in a hurry.

But back to the transparent and offensive leftist playbook…

We’ve written recently of the contours of an Iranian gambit taking shape this summer—another so-called shrewd political calculation whereby Obama can sap some of the surging anger of the American people through moves that are calculated to make him appear, falsely, to be a courageous wartime President engaged in the traditional protection of the country.

Now we see the outlines of the master strategy for the domestic policy arena, as Robert Gibbs signaled this weekend the expectation of Republicans taking back control of the House of Representatives in November. Rush Limbaugh flushed it out instantly.

Every responsible economist knows American fiscal policy is on a course to ruin—particularly come January 2011, when taxes go up in the midst of widespread unemployment and consumer despair. Every sentient observer also knows that the Democrats refusal to discuss a budget this year, combined with the deliberately scheduled post-election report of the joke that is the Simpson/Bowles commission on fiscal responsibility, is a deliberately staged one-two punch to make the commission’s December report a ‘shocker’, followed by a ‘bi-partisan’ recommendation that higher taxes are the ‘only’ way out of the massive deficits.

So the economy is set to collapse in 2011; and a ‘bi-partisan’ commission is rigged to recommend massive new taxes on top of taxes that will already go up as the Bush tax cuts expire. All this will happen as the Republicans take control of Congress, whereupon the Soros/Axelrod/Gibbs masterminds believe they can manipulate public opinion so as to hang responsibility for the ruin on Republican obstructionism. The spin will be that Obama’s grand vision was just ready to bless us all, and then came the angry and stupid and racist tea partiers, electing Republicans and derailing the munificent Obama agenda. Obama can engineer political stalemates by vetoing Republican proposals, and the master calculation is that political stalemates in the midst of economic crisis will create and fan public unrest to such an extent that people will yield to a strong executive branch cleared to take more control in the name of addressing the crisis.

All of this is too clever by more than half. All of this depends on two critical assumptions: (1) there is no such thing as truth; and (2) the American people are stupid ‘masses’ incapable of discerning truth.

Neither assumption is true, but at one level, it’s not surprising that Soros/Obama/Axelrod/Gibbs et.al., believe they can pull this off. The election of Obama in 2008 was built—in their minds—on the same two assumptions. They knew Obama wasn’t even remotely qualified to serve as President of the United States; they knew if the truth about Obama’s citizenship, religious belief, educational record, lack of achievement, personal affiliations, etc., was fully disclosed and reported, Obama wouldn’t get 25% of the vote. But they did carefully conceal and deny the truth, and rode media complicity, naïve altruism/white guilt, an ‘image of cool’ and Chicago thuggery to get 56% of the vote. So—to them—there’s no reason to believe the same two assumptions can’t continue to work as they proceed with their ‘mastermind’ plans to overthrow the American Constitutional form of government.

Not gonna happen.

The tea parties are not a political movement; they represent a stirring of the American spirit, transcending political party labels. They actually represent the stirring of truth itself, because truth does exist, and people know it, feel it and respond to it when they are awake. The Obama fraud has been an icy slap in the face to the American people; they are now awake and alive to their country’s foundation and their heritage. After years of stupor, new leaders are emerging, and their instincts are not numbed by the Beltway disease that has mesmerized and straitjacketed political insiders and kept them from understanding the sea change in thought that has occurred in America.

The cynics will say new leaders like Paul Ryan, Michelle Bachmann, Allen West and Ilario Pantano will lose their focus and nerve if saddled with the ever-ominous sounding burden of ‘governing’. They will wilt under the pressure of the media. But that form of cynicism—the kind of worldview that government is about personalities and not principle—is a cousin of the basic belief that there is no such thing as truth. But in fact, truth and principle are their own power, and humble, receptive people are animated, driven and guided by them. They won’t be deterred or defeated, any more than the founding fathers were.

Lies eventually run out of people to believe in them. Lies can’t resuscitate themselves because once exposed, there is nothing to resuscitate. Obama, his agenda and his administration are a gigantic lie, a complete fraud on the American people. They are lying about American history (and Muslim history); they are lying about the condition of the economy; they are lying about the impact of Obamacare; they are lying about their motives and intentions as to every action they take. The lies have been exposed; they are dead. The American people are now on the march, and they aren’t going to rest until this fraudulent government is completely removed.

The masterminds are learning a simple lesson: temporary triumphs of deceit are themselves deceiving; no one can fight against truth and win.
