Barack Madoff

The smell of fraud is growing…

Americans had no trouble absorbing the story of Bernie Madoff; they understood the despicable wrong of intentional dishonesty; they readily aligned behind the only right outcome for the perpetrator: remorse and repentance while in jail. Sure, there were a few voices protesting that he was really a nice guy who meant well, but even they recognized that fraud is fraud, and while the victims bore some responsibility for failing to ask the right questions and demand the real answers early on, the ultimate responsibility lies with the deceiver and his accomplices, not the deceived.

Barack Obama’s campaign to be elected President was no less fraudulent than Bernie Madoff’s campaign to maintain a seat at the tables of high society. Obama was financed primarily through George Soros, he was consciously and deliberately aided and abetted by the liberal media. Obama is the deceiver and they are his accomplices. The American electorate was and is the deceived.

Americans have had trouble absorbing this story, because it so violates their inherent faith in the goodness of their country and their certainty in at least the good faith of its political leaders, regardless of political affiliation. For most Americans, Democrat vs. Republican is the long-standing institutionalizing of differing views of the role of government. The vigor and degree of partisanship that characterize the debate between these differing views may rise and fall over time, and most Americans tune out from this debate most of the time, but most Americans have always believed that, at bottom, surely all leaders of both parties love and treasure America and her freedoms, and want to preserve and protect them from those who seek to destroy them.

But the story of the Obama fraud is starting to be absorbed by a growing majority of engaged Americans. By ‘engaged’, we mean nothing more than those who have the cognitive ability and will to look up from their daily routine and question the world around them, including what elected leaders are saying and doing. The term ‘engaged’ is not limited to the labels of conservative or liberal, Republican or Democrat. It applies to honest Americans of every stripe. And honest Americans across the country are recoiling at what they seeing and hearing with their own eyes and ears.

On an ad hoc, issue by issue basis, the Obama/Axelrod/Emanuell team has believed it can hide the fraud and put out an explanation or rationalization that will serve as a finger in each hole of the dike. What they don’t know is that the holes keep getting bigger (one finger or explanation is not enough to hold back the water), and new holes keep springing up every day. They’ve already run out of fingers. The whole dam is going to break, soon.

Let’s run an inventory of the dimensions of this fraud. And remember, what’s happening is the whole picture is now gelling for Americans (as manifested by Obama’s net of ‘strongly approve’ minus ‘strongly disapprove’ going from +26 to -8 in less than six months).

• A ‘competence’ candidate turns into a President who demands passage of an urgent and massive stimulus (with no House member allowed time to read it before voting), in order stave off a year end unemployment rate of 8%. Unemployment is already over 9.4% and rising; the contents of the stimulus plan have shown it to be a fraud as stimulus; it was in reality nothing more than political payback, and an impetus to government growth.

• A ‘deficit hawk’ candidate turns into a President who insists on spending and deficits at levels greater than all of the 200+ years of the United States of America combined; but he assures Americans he is ‘not a big government guy’.

• A ‘proud American’ candidate turns into a President who relentlessly criticizes his own country, disparages and distorts its role in history, denies its status as a Christian nation, glorifies and appeases tyrannical Arab/Muslim regimes, and takes the side of dictators and tyrants who oppress, maim and kill their own people and flaunt the rule of law.

• A ‘go-carefully-on-healthcare-reform’ candidate turns into a President proposing radical, wholesale takeover the best healthcare system in the world—a system which most Americans are very happy with—and shows every intention of slamming it down the throat of the people regardless of whether they want it or not.

• A ‘transparency’ candidate turns into a President who encourages and accepts Congressional passage of laws that have not been written (in the case of the ‘climate change’ bill) and have not been read (in the case of the stimulus and the climate change bill) by even one member of Congress, much less any portion of American citizens.

• An ‘ethics’ candidate turns into a President who appoints tax cheats to serve in the Cabinet; appoints 20+ unconstitutional, unvetted and unaccountable ‘czars’ to control significant functions of government; dismisses a watchdog ‘inspector general” who interfered with political cronies; intentionally silences government employees who dispute the truth of a President’s assertion of a global warming crisis.

The list could go on and on. The takeover of the auto industry via the flaunting of the rule of law to deliver a union payback is in a category all by itself.

Taken together, more and more Americans (of both political parties) are sensing that they were massively deceived by Obama. They are also sensing no let up in the radical left agenda they never saw coming. They are watching their jobs, their financial future, their national currency—everything vanishing like the cash balance in a Bernie Madoff customer account. And they are fed up. They want action taken to stop this fraud, just as they expected law enforcement authorities to stop Madoff. They don’t want massive and expensive government intrusion in the energy industry; they don’t want massive and expensive government takeover of the healthcare industry; they don’t want anything this government is selling. Very rapidly, the number of vigorous supporters of this administration is being reduced to those who are paid by George Soros or the government to do so. (Pravda is effectively being paid to do so, but is going bankrupt as a result).

So when will Barack Madoff be constitutionally ‘arrested’?

Most would assume our Political Class will either never acknowledge the need, or never muster the will to take the action that prosecutors took with Madoff. But the people are stirring. Truth is at work. The fraud is no longer hidden, and talk is getting closer to calling it fraud. Yes, these are powerful concepts to have to deal with, and some would argue they are too explosive to take up. But there is a cost in not taking them up. There is zero evidence of the economy turning around; there is a constant drip, drip, drip of apology, appeasement and sell-out on the international scene that will inevitably exact a price; there is little evidence that the Political Class understands just how angry the people are becoming at their arrogant and reckless and irresponsible behavior.

We’ve been wondering why Rush Limbaugh keeps rolling out the joke about God and Obama having one thing in common: no birth certificate. Maybe the truth surrounding this obvious concealment is about to blow. If so, this could be the final straw, or perhaps the better metaphor is the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle that makes the entire fraud clear. This guy isn’t who he said he was, and the glorious achievement that is the US Constitution may provide the grounds to remove him because a fraud was never eligible to serve as President of the United States of America in the first place. What fitting symbolism.
