What is Impeachment For?

We’ve wondered how long it will take for the talking heads and elected representative to finally start talking seriously about impeaching Obama. The case for doing so is plain to anyone with a grain of decency and common sense. Consider these comments, and see if they ring true for you:

“[Obama] … played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president..[in the 2008 campaign] he worked very hard at being a person who is normal, reasonable, moderate, bipartisan, transparent, accommodating — none of which was true…In the Alinksy tradition, he was being the person he needed to be in order to achieve the position he needed to achieve . . . He was authentically dishonest.”

In the Pravda media world, the only thing that matters is who said these words. Once we know who said them, then we can go to battle stations to discredit him or her based on what he or she did in the ninth grade. But put aside the question of who said it, and consider only what was said. It is ‘spot on’ true, and everyone now knows it. Yes, everyone—even Obama supporters.

Obama supporters know the comments are true; if they did not know the identity of the speaker of those comments and could not demonize him or her, their defense would simply be ‘damn right, that’s what our guy had to do to get power, and the ends justify the means’. But think about that for a moment. What rings true is the fact that Obama pulled off a con job on the American people (otherwise known as fraud), and was authentically dishonest.

Fraud and dishonesty peddled to the American people in a Presidential election may be the highest of the ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ for which a President may be constitutionally impeached. Short of out-and-out treason (which, in a way, is what this scale of fraud really is), what could be more offensive to the American democratic electoral process? The short answer of the American people is: nothing. And that short answer is going to be rising to the top of national conversation very soon, particularly as the details of the massive fraud and deceit called “Obamacare” continue to come to the surface, and the true dimensions of the economic sinkhole deliberately created by Obama/Reid/Pelosi socialist policies are more and more impossible to spin away by the Pravda media.

Leftist lawyers would of course scream that Obama did nothing more than any other politician. That is an argument only a lawyer could make; the American people have acted and reacted to many Presidential elections; they have never been so enraged as they are now, and this is entirely because of the fraud and dishonesty that is now exposed for everyone to see. As we wrote a year ago, fraud is as fraud feels —and Americans feel defrauded.

Leftist lawyers or their leftist pundit/philosopher cousins would also that it was the American people’s fault for not seeing who Obama was and recognizing that he was a con and ‘authentically dishonest’. They would say the American people knew about William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Chicago politics and the socialist philosophy revealed to Joe the Plumber. The real answer to this is: no, the American people didn’t know, because their institutional media wouldn’t let them know. We know from the JournoList that this is exactly what happened; that the institutional media was indeed an accessory to the fraud. That’s why the American people are slowly performing the free market equivalent of an impeachment of the institutional media: they are being driven into bankruptcy by the loss of viewers/subscribers.

We think the American people are soon going to impeach Obama. No, they don’t have the power to do so directly. But they are first going to remove and shake up the ruling class in Washington on a scale that no one has seen before. When the dust settles from November 2nd, the makeup of Congress will more closely approximate the common sense and decency of the American people. And when it does, it will finally dawn on enough new leaders that we as Americans do not have sit through any more of this Obama fraud.

The founding fathers did not leave the country helpless; they provided the tools of impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors. All that’s needed is the moral clarity and conviction to step up and state what is obvious: Obama was dishonest and committed fraud on the American people, and that is a high crime and misdemeanor for which he should be impeached and removed, promptly.

That’s what impeachment is for.
