Impeach and Remove this President

The case exists, and is waiting to be made…

There is a one word justification: fraud.

There is one reason why the allegation of fraud is going to stick: it is true.

There is one reason why impeachment and removal should occur, and soon: this is America.

The machinery and terminology of the Constitution uses terms like ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’, articles of impeachment, Senate trial, and acquittal or conviction. The gloss of history says the Constitutional process is messy, and the current condition of the Pravda media and its pundits says that so much fog of doubt and confusion and fear and righteous indignation can be created that there is no way in today’s America that such a process could ever be seen through to the finish line. There is a strain of psychobabble that says such a process must not happen in the case of America’s first black President—the dashing of the idealism and hope represented by the symbolism of Obama would just be too devastating to large segments of the population who embraced it.

We’ll see.

We keep thinking of Bernie Madoff’s investors and their reaction to the discovery of Madoff’s fraud and the loss of all their money. Do they feel different based on whether they are male or female? Young or old? Jewish or non-Jewish? English speaking or non-English speaking? Black, brown, yellow or white skin? We think the answer to all these questions is NO. People universally do not like a fraud.

If Bernie Madoff promised an 8% return on investment, but made some bad investments and returned 3% or even lost 3%, some of his investors would withdraw, and some of those who withdrew would do so angrily. Some might even say he was a fraud. But others would stick with him, because they’d decide they really didn’t view 8% as a promise but a target, everybody makes mistakes, he’s still a good guy doing his best….etc., etc. He’d probably stay in business, at least for awhile.

But when the whole package turns out to be a fraud, there are no ‘camps’ of supporters left. And that’s true even if there are still many of the investors who think Madoff has a nice personality.

Think of Obama the candidate; think of where we are just five months into the Obama administration; then think of Bernie Madoff.

• “A tax cut for 95% of you”, and a deficit hawk with the government budget

No tax cut of any meaning whatsoever; tax hikes of all kinds—including taxing employment benefits—and unprecedented deficits more than four times the size of those he scolded; debt numbers unspoken in American history.

• No serious relationship with ACORN

$4 billion in funding for ACORN in an ‘economic stimulus’ bill; ACORN to be deeply involved in conduct of 2010 census.

• Transparency in government

An unprecedented ‘stimulus’ bill passed in four days with NOT ONE ELECTED OFFICIAL HAVING READ IT, much less any of the public. Over 20 unvetted ‘czars’ operating outside the Constitution.

• A ‘stimulus’ to save the economy, urgently needed to prevent unemployment from reaching 8% by year end

Unemployment already at 9.2% and rising; now conceded to be higher than 10% by year end.

• A post-partisan era; unifying leadership

A threat to prosecute Bush administration officials over actions taken in good faith; Republicans are deliberately shut out of all negotiations on all major pieces of legislation; the arrogance of ‘we won’ causing the partisan divide to be wider, deeper and more angry than ever.

• Ethics in government

Obvious tax cheats confirmed to the Cabinet, including the head of the IRS; default judgments against blatant voter intimidation criminals vacated because of race; an Inspector General terminated without regard to law and on the basis of pure cronyism and corruption.

• Appointing judges with ‘empathy’

Appointing a blatantly racist attitude to the Supreme Court.

• A denial of the embrace of socialism

Controlling stakes in GM and Chrysler; political paybacks to unions trumping the legal rights of secured lenders; czars to regulate pay in the financial sector.

• A friend of Israel

$900 million in aid to Hamas; official policy not to ‘meddle’ with other countries (like Iran), while dictating policy to Israel.

• A Christian

“America is not a Christian nation”; America, with 7 million Muslims (a totally false statement) “would be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world”.

• Improve healthcare, not nationalize it; run ads against McCain railing against the idea of taxing healthcare benefits.

A mad-dash, incomprehensible, massively expensive plan to nationalize healthcare; open consideration of taxing healthcare benefits.

The list could go on, and with every passing week, more items are added. Americans are enduring a sort of drip, drip, drip of water torture as the evidence accumulates as to just how broadly, deeply and specifically this man lied about who he was and how he thinks and how he would govern.

Millions of pixels and gallons of ink will be used up in the effort to explain, justify, blame Bush, rationalize, blame Bush, theorize, pontificate, blame Bush, and excuse—but they are not going to cut it. Obama is a fraud and committed fraud on the American voters, and that is the truth. The scope of this fraud is unprecedented; it is nowhere near the boundaries of ‘normal’ political exaggeration. Americans of every skin color are onto him, they couldn’t care less about his skin color, and they really don't care whether he has a cool personality. They are also onto the role of the compliant Pravda media in promoting this fraud. They are restless and angry and these feelings are palpable and they are spreading. Election fraud is not acceptable in America.

In one of the great ironies of history, Obama, Soros, Axelrod, Emanuel, Gibbs and the whole fraudulent cabal are getting a window via Iran on the powerful feelings of defrauded people—but the cabal is too blind or too arrogant to see it. They apparently have a ‘what’s the fuss’ attitude since both Iranian candidates were mullah-approved. But what they are seeing is the pent up rage of a people who have been subjected to tyrannical, one-party rule, and were granted the tiniest sliver of freedom of choice, only to have it cynically jerked away as yet another proof of a dishonest and corrupt government—or to be more precise, a fraudulent government. (Should be interesting if Obama tries to open unconditional talks with a regime the Iranian people hate.)

So we think you’re going to hear this word more and more in the very near term, as the true picture of this fraud gels in the minds of more and more Americans.

One last point: we haven't even mentioned the birth certificate issue and the related refusal to release various academic records. A whole bunch of opinion, including some of it from the right, places this issue in the tin-foil hat category. We don't, because we haven't lost common sense. And common sense says that one does not spend millions in legal fees to prevent disclosure of something so basic as a birth certificate if the disclosure is of no consequence. You have to be in the dunce-cap category to jump into explanations of the normalcy of Obama's resistance. We don't need to guess what's in the birth certificate. Truth will out this, and we think sooner rather than later. And whatever the truth is, we're absolutely certain it will only add to the case for fraud, impeachment and removal.

As we write this almost exactly five months into the Obama administration, we’d guess a Pravda poll would find there are maybe 10-15% of voting Americans who would strongly support the idea of impeachment and removal today, and not even a quarter of them would think it is possible. Pravda’s polls are always wrong. Today’s numbers are much higher, and they are growing, and they are growing fast. Just watch.
