Great will be the Fall of this House

Pelosi and her leftist co-horts are accelerating their own demise. Faster, please.

Years from now Americans will be thankful that Nancy Pelosi pulled the Saturday Night Special and rammed through the House of Representatives a federal government takeover of healthcare. Never has the naked totalitarian instinct of the left been so vividly on display; never has it been clearer to the vast majority of Americans that we are now dealing with evil and are going to have to rise up, defeat it and get rid of it. What Pelosi and the leftists did is not about resolving honest policy disagreement; it is not within-the-boundaries hardball politics; it is not about courage of good faith convictions. It is criminal deceit, manifest corruption and payoff for votes, and demonstrates the most brazen, in your face, middle finger disdain for the American people that has ever been seen by living Americans.

We’re well past the tipping point in this country. In a week in which our democratic tradition called “elections” showed exactly where the people’s mood is and how totally opposed they are to the leftist agenda, and the US President showed an indefensible non-grasp of the implications of a mass murder by a Muslim on a U.S. Army base—to have the leftists then slam through the Saturday Night Special—well, the people are now past the boiling point.

It doesn’t matter if the House passed the bill to nationalize healthcare. It doesn’t matter if the Senate is strong-armed into passing 50% of it or even 10% of it. It doesn’t matter if Obama signs it amidst a smiling photo-op with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. It doesn’t matter if the Pravda print media tells its last 1,000 subscribers how wonderful this is. We believe the American people see exactly what this is: a premeditated and deliberate raping of the Constitution; an attack on freedom; and at its core, a denial of God and truth.

The people aren’t going to put up with it. We believe the American people are going to defy this exercise in tyranny in a thousand different ways, large and small. They are going to say to hell with this government and every law and regulation they pass or impose. They are already saying to hell with the sycophantic media that tries to prop up abject totalitarian evil in the name of ‘progressive’ intentions. The 2010 elections will change the makeup of Congress more than any election in American history. At least 80% of the Democrats who voted for this disgrace will be voted out of office, and Republicans who speak with shades-of-gray ambivalence about where this is headed will also be voted out. The rallying cry can be very simple: repeal everything this government has done. Repeal. Everything.

And here’s something the left doesn’t see coming. The rallying cry will resonate across age groups, races and gender.

All the ‘youthful’ embrace of Obama and the left? A short-lived fallacy and fantasy. Generation 2010 is into freedom and individuality; they are not into fines and jail time for not buying government insurance. Seniors? They are not and have never been as stupid and homogenous as AARP treats them. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, death panels are as death panels do. The House bill has them, and they are repugnant, and seniors know it.

Blacks? Here, too, we’re going to see at last the breaking of monolithic, unthinking embrace of race-based politics, but it will arise from a factor the leftists cannot understand: spirituality. People with spiritual sense—which embraces all people, and is unrelated to the color of flesh—have an increasing sense of repulsion toward the atheist, valueless, anti-Judeo/Christian vibe that is coming out of this government every day in a multitude of ways. They may not agree on how to describe it, or what exactly it is that is disturbing them, but they know it is disturbing them deeply.

Women? Political strategists have long confused the nurturing side of most women as inevitably translatable into support for a big, nurturing government. Whatever tiny element of truth may underlay that perspective, it is dwarfed by an instinctive repulsion at the idea of some government bureaucrat effectively sitting in private homes 24/7 and dictating every aspect of food, drink, activity, sleep, medicine, etc.

The leftists and the media who work for them will trot out a 2010’er and a senior to say this is great; a black to salute Obama and everything Obama does, and a mother relieved to know government will take care of everything. But the American people are so awake now—they will see these props for what they are: tokens; tools; manipulated and mesmerized fools who do not speak for and do not connect with the vast majority of Americans.

The Obama/Reid/Pelosi action in the US House of Representatives was plainly, undeniably, and inarguably a back-room, utterly partisan, non-transparent deal; a product described and sold to the American people through conscious deceit; and an exercise of willful defiance of American democracy under the Constitution. The Bible addressed this basic situation a long time ago. A House built on such evil will not stand.

The Nancy Pelosi-led House is going to fall, and great will be the fall of it.
