GZM is Bigger than 9/11

Americans and all of humanity may someday be thankful that the proposal to build a mosque at Ground Zero materialized in August 2010, in time for the full implications of it to be examined, analyzed and investigated prior to the November elections, and in the perfect way by which it impelled Obama to identify himself accurately and truthfully to the American people. The cathartic, transformative, restorative value of the GZM proposal on the America of the founding will exceed that of 9/11 itself.

We’ve noted before how striking it has been over the last several years to realize how many Americans went to school (figuratively) in the aftermath of 9/11 to learn more about Islam. This was not the reaction of a shallow or unintelligent people, nor was it a simple follow up on the ‘why do they hate us?’ narrative. It wasn’t driven by hatred or bigotry. It was a common sense reaction of good and decent people wondering where such savagery and barbarity originates. And the more they have learned about Islam, the more certain they are that America and Islam cannot coexist. The ruling class elites have near heart attacks over such a statement, but they just don’t get it.

To conclude that America and Islam cannot coexist doesn’t mean Americans hate individual Muslims. It doesn’t even mean they hate Islam. It doesn’t mean Americans have ceased to understand or appreciate the First Amendment right of ‘freedom of religion’ or have taken a freedom ‘for me but not for thee’ posture toward the Constitution. It's a recognition that the American concept of individual freedom and responsibility under God, of justice, and of the love of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness just cannot be squared with an ideology of submission to a theology that condones the murder of infidels, the oppression of women, the stoning of homosexuals, the honor killing of wayward children, the unity of church and state, and on and on and on.

The proposed GZM has once again ignited for more Americans this instinct to find out what is it about this so-called ‘religion of peace’ that causes its adherents to pull such ‘thumb in the eye’ stunts as a mosque at Ground Zero. In this respect, it may prove even more powerful than 9/11 itself. The shocking suddenness and ‘physicality’ of flying planes into buildings is so extreme as to invite some people to just waive it off as the actions of a few madmen. But a deliberate plan to build a victory-symbolizing mosque at Ground Zero is not so easy to dismiss. There is a deceit and malevolence about it that causes the honest soul to recoil in disgust.

The GZM proposal has also reaffirmed for Americans who have already done their investigation of Islam why America is going to have to stop and reverse the entrance of Islam into American culture. There is no course of compromise or accommodation, and anyone who really knows theology knows this. Judeo-Christian America and Islam simply do not mix. The sooner this conclusion is reached, the better the opportunity for a peaceful parting of the ways or, better yet, an opening of the Muslim mind to the theology of a loving God with a purpose to make life more abundant, rather than a tyrannical deity encouraging humanity to use the experience of life as a means to a celebration of heroic death through the killing of innocents.

If the GZM proposal is not definitively withdrawn and cancelled, the discussion and investigation of Islam and its place in America will continue. As it does, expect to hear fewer and fewer references to the ‘religion of peace’; fewer lectures on the spiritual meaning of jihad; and generally much less patience with the notion that ‘tolerance’ must always be a one-way street in favor of Islam. This would never have happened had the GZM never been proposed—which is reason enough to believe the GZM proposal will end up having greater impact on America than 9/11. But the even greater impact of the GZM proposal is its timing in relation to American elections which are now just a little more than two months away.

The fraud that is Obama is now exposed more plainly and to more thinking people than ever before.

The polls now showing that 20%-25% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim, accompanied by a hysterically frightened and laughable Associated Press story assuring everyone that this is ‘incorrect’, are misleading proxies for the more substantive issue that is now deeply and powerfully resonating with the American people: this guy isn’t who he said he was.

Never mind the narrow question of what’s in the mind of Obama when he considers the question of who or what to worship besides himself. The Associated Press doesn’t know the answer to that question; neither do we; nor does anyone else. But we do know Obama’s actions and words relating to the GZM; they do not connect with the heart and soul of America; and they certainly do not fit with the carefully crafted impression Obama presented prior to the election in 2008. And that has monumental significance. In the hearts and minds of the vast majority of Americans, he is not ‘our President’ anymore.

Now, Americans’ discontent with the Obama/Reid/Pelosi regime is moving far out of the range of vigorous policy disagreement. It’s about having been defrauded. It’s about witnessing exactly what emerges from a lifetime spent with radical leftists who hate America. It’s a level of discontent that will embrace complete rejection of Obama and anyone who has aided and abetted him--which clearly includes virtually all Democrats and all Pravda media outlets.

The GZM proposal is itself a form of terrorist strike on America, and its impact is going to be bigger than 9/11. But just as George W. Bush’s reaction after 9/11 surprised the bin Laden types who thought America had lost the will to fight, Americans’ reaction after the GZM proposal is going to surprise not only the terrorists but the leftists who believe the spirit and ‘truth’ of America isn’t real.

One last point: if some of the heretofore hidden records of Obama reveal that he is a practicing Muslim, or if in a fit of in-your-face, off-the-teleprompter bravado Obama admits he is a practicing Muslim, his removal from the office of the Presidency is assured, and will happen quickly. Not because he is a practicing Muslim, but because he lied about it to the American people.
