Americans are Not Goons and Thugs

George Soros and his radical leftist minions have a view of men and women as ignorant, envious, covetous, selfish, manipulable fools who will lash out, intimidate and bully their fellow men and women in order to get what they want, whether or not they have earned it. It is an animalistic view of mankind that springs from atheism, and in Soros’ case, a particularly aggressive godlessness that wants to rip from human thinking all notions of the God-given dignity, goodness and worth of individuals created in the image and likeness of God.

Soros is going all-in with his worldview, and is trying to bring down America and its Judeo-Christian heritage with it. He is behind the union agitation and thuggery in Wisconsin; he is behind efforts to spread it across America. (He’s also behind the agitation in the Middle East that has as its primary goal the isolation, surrounding and eventual destruction of Israel, but that is a subject for another day).

Soros will not succeed; his efforts will be arrested and stopped. Not by conventional law enforcement, and certainly not by the criminally malfeasant Department of Justice—but by the spirit of the American people. The American people—and we mean all Americans in the sense that Peter Ferrara described —have emerged from generations of appreciation for and blessings from the founding principles of America. And those founding principles are in direct opposition and refutation of Soros’ sick worldview.

America’s founding principles affirm a loving Creator; men and women created equal in the sight of that Creator; and God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Union membership is not evidence of disagreement with these principles, and the vast majority of rank-and-file union members, whether of public or private employees, are decent, law-abiding, fair-minded people who are not looking to get more for themselves by beating it out of someone else, least of all their fellow Americans.

Soros can buy a certain amount of thuggery; in a nation of 300+ million, there will be anarchists for hire, especially to appear in front of a camera. But there is nothing behind the mercenary thug, any more than there is behind the mercenary soldier. They are not on a legitimate, rightly impelled mission, which is why they will inevitably fail. They will alienate union members from the union bosses, because it’s simply un-American to go destroying the other guy’s homes, shops, restaurants and schools out of baseless, whipped up hatred and envy. Americans inherent decency just doesn’t buy this view of how we live with and treat one another.

This doesn’t mean that Soros and his minions, including Obama, won’t succeed in provoking a few incidents and frightening many well-meaning people along the way. We hope his sick worldview harms no one but himself. But in any case, his agitation and manipulation will not last and cannot succeed for one simple reason: it is based on a lie about the nature of God and of mankind.

Mankind has brought upon itself plenty of dark times through the temporary acceptance of this lie, and in 2011 the lie seems particularly combustible because of the alliance of convenience currently being pursued by radical leftists and Islam. They are building off their mutual hate of Judeo-Christian civilization to try and destroy it; each somehow thinking that once they destroy it, they will live with each other.

Two lies don’t make a truth. They may make a very violent world until enough right-thinking men and women wake up and stop them, but the hope for the world is that there is evidence all around that enough men and women have awakened. The American people are ready right now to throw out this entire executive branch of government, and the Constitution provides the tools. The only thing holding back the American people are longstanding political office holders who are still asleep or, more likely, simply deathly afraid of finally standing up to the leftist lies that have been peddled for so long by the combination of media, Hollywood and academia. But they are not going to be held back forever; the force of an awakened America makes a Japanese tsunami mild in comparison.

The Pravda media tries to make a few noisy voices into the appearance of a broad, clear-thinking alternative to the Judeo-Christian foundation of America. Soros thinks enough paid goons and thugs can make the Pravda narrative into a reality. But it can’t. Soros’ worldview is not broad and is not an alternative. It is just a lie. Americans have seen the lie and they reject it. They are not goons and thugs; they do not act as goons and thugs toward their fellow Americans.

The radical left lives for a vision of agitation and destabilization that they see as a springboard to taking what they want from whomever they want, and yes, killing anyone who doesn’t agree to give them what they want. They live for a vision of a world without truth or God; a world where they make up the rules and make up the news and rule the ignorant by intimidation and force. America said no to that vision 230+ years ago; Americans still say no. Soros’ grand campaign and agenda will fail.
