Optimism on the 4th of July

The American foundation will hold; the Soros/Obama calculated destruction of Judeo-Christian America will fail

Many Americans can connect the ‘self-evident’ truths that ‘all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness’ with the Declaration of Independence that we celebrate on July 4th.

There is immeasurable power in these truths because they are truths; they are the foundation of the spirit of America and in fact, the spirit of human freedom for all mankind. They have a connection to the soul of every living human being that cannot be severed or replaced. And they have an innate stirring capability whenever they are under attack.

They are under attack now, more aggressively and more dangerously than ever before, because the attack is coming from within America—from a fraudulently elected President financed by a morally depraved, virulently anti-Christian George Soros. We’ve already written extensively about the fraudulently elected President (see here and here) and George Soros (see here and here). We want to write about optimism here.

• Think of an unprecedented $787 billion ‘economic stimulus’ passed in February before even one member of Congress had read it, passed with extreme urgency by way of a President’s statement that the failure to enact it could lead to 8% unemployment by the end of 2009 (it's now 9.4%).

• Think of a 1,500 page ‘climate change’ bill —which was passed in June before even one member of Congress had read it, and in fact passed when there was not even a final bill in existence at the time of the vote—passed with extreme urgency to address a global warming problem that does not exist, and under a President’s statement that it is a ‘jobs bill’ when every objective analysis concedes it is an enormous job-killer and a massive tax increase on all Americans.

• Think of a Speaker of the House who says she intends to follow the same no-time-to-read-it, urgent vote process with the nationalization of the entire healthcare system of America.

So let’s cut to the core: these actions of Obama and the Pelosi-led Congress are abuses and usurpations; they are pursuing inevitably the object of Marxism and socialism—government control of people and denial of freedom; they evince a design of the absolute despotism of radical left-wing statism in place of people under God. They are an offense to the spirit of America; they represent a government that must be “thrown off”.

Now turn to the words of Benjamin Franklin. As chronicled in Bill Bennett’s “The American Patriot’s Almanac”, when an impasse had been reached in the drafting of the Constitution, and the fear was growing that the entire endeavor would collapse in rancor and confusion, the 81 year old Franklin “…made a simple but profound suggestion: they should pray for guidance. He reminded the others that the Continental Congress had asked for divine aid at the start of the Revolutionary War.”

“Our prayers, sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered,” he said. “And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need his assistance? I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?” (bold font added by Brushfires)

Throughout the America of 2009, there are spiritual descendants of Benjamin Franklin’s humility and faith. They are praying every day for this country, with a fervency and intensity not seen since World War II. They seek to preserve and honor America’s divinely inspired origin and spirit. Their prayers, too, are being heard. Truth is breaking free of the shackles of Pravda. The fraud that has been committed on this country is being exposed.

We are not delusional—we believe the economy is bad and getting worse and the international situation is volatile—and we think this is exactly what Soros and Obama and Emanuel desire, as they seek to exacerbate and parlay crisis and fear into an wholesale embrace of almighty godless government for salvation. Nationalizing healthcare is their primary end game, because when government can regulate anything and everything in the name of what government defines as ‘health’—government has become god.

Sadly, and in a way they don’t comprehend, Soros, Obama and the whole crowd are destroying themselves, because they are on a collision course with truth. To put it simply, and in words that will drive Pravda into shrieking insanity, they are fighting against God, and they will not win because they cannot win.

The price of defeating this attack on America has yet to be determined. The form of the war up to now has been mostly words—talk radio’s and blogs’—with a few tea parties mixed in. We don’t advocate that it take on violent forms. But in the words and immortal sentiment of the Declaration of Independence, it is the American people’s right and duty to ‘throw off’ this outrageous government. We think the American people know they have this right; and we think they are answering this era’s call to duty; we think they will have “His aid” as they do.

So we’re optimistic on the 4th of July.
