Rollback + Rescind + Repeal + Renegotiate = Restore America
Republicans and Tea Parties: These Four R’s are the Political Words of 2010
The Obama/Reid/Pelosi determination to ram through the nationalization of healthcare is a blessing to America in so many ways. It is unmasking for anyone paying attention the true nature of this administration.
When poll after poll after poll after poll—including even polls conducted by the Pravda media—come back with the same result showing clear and large majorities of the America people opposed to what is being done, the determination to jam it down the throats of America eventually awakens all but the willfully naïve to an obvious conclusion: this is not about politics.
When there is not a single shred of evidence to suggest that the nationalization of healthcare will do anything but add tremendously to an already unsustainable binge of unfunded and unfundable entitlement spending, but the leftist cabal still wants to go forward: this is not about politics.
When poll after poll after poll after poll indicates an overwhelming Republican victory in 2010, even to the point of possible takeover of majorities of the House and Senate, and Obama/Reid/Pelosi still say full speed ahead, they can only be calculating that the nationalization of healthcare—once done, can never be undone, and therefore it is worth going all in to get it. It will be the stake in heart of America of the founding.
That is what this is all about.
And this is the word for it: Evil. This is the remedy for it: Destroy it. We’ll leave to future essays the task of exploring why evil seems so relentless, pressing upon every human generation until the collective consciousness finally rises to stop it. The important point now is to go to work on the comprehensive plan to destroy the evil that is facing this generation. Obama, Reid and Pelosi are helping Americans throughout the nation to realize the magnitude of what will have to be done.
First and foremost, Americans must reject the central assumptions of the radical leftists: that there is no God; there is no truth; there is no power but government power; there is no way to reverse the raw exercise of will by a determined cabal. In simplest terms and as applied to just one element of the leftist agenda, Americans everywhere must categorically reject the notion that the nationalization of healthcare, if passed via ‘reconciliation’ or any other process by any other name, is irreversible. They must reject outright the leftists’ arrogant belief that the American system cannot restore itself once sabotaged by nationalized healthcare or trillion dollar deficits or the undermining of the national security apparatus or anything else.
Next must come the specifics and planning of what can and will be done to restore the America of the founding. The tea partiers and Republicans must and will merge their energies and unify their messages, but a ‘take back America’ slogan will only be a starting point. The Contract with America in 1994 showed the way, and something similar is needed now. Because the task at hand isn’t merely the defeat of Obamacare or, if necessary, its repeal; it is the restoration of America.
Our suggestion is to explore and apply the full implications of these concepts: rollback, rescind, repeal and renegotiate (call it the “Four R” movement).
Four R government spending. Why is it that we are told that once the stimulus passed, we as a nation must accept that same level of government spending forever and just deal with it? No. Cut it. Whatever hasn’t been spent of the stimulus, cancel it. Close government agencies. Shut down government programs. Lay off government workers. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is showing the way.
Will it hurt? Of course. Will the left-wing media go into hysterics? Of course. So what?
It is time to bury forever the notion that government can operate its financial house differently than a family. All the sophistication in the world will never make this notion true. And it is time to re-acknowledge a permanent truth: promises made by politicians to confer ‘benefits’ on constituents lack a fundamental element of integrity and responsibility necessary to any real and binding contract: politicians are making those promises with ‘other people’s money’.
The American family cannot spend more than it earns. And if I promise one neighbor that another neighbor will give him $1,000, my promise is baseless and worthless and unaccountable—and both neighbors know it.
Four R government pension plans. These plans represent promises by politicians using other people’s money. They were made without fundamental integrity and responsibility; they are baseless, worthless and ultimately unenforceable and uncollectible. So they need to be Four R’d.
Do the leftists’ believe they can stoke envy and hatred and animosity at a level that will paralyze efforts to Four R pension benefits? Of course they do. But it’s time to call on the “American soul”—that reservoir of common honesty and decency that can resist calls to class warfare and step up in good faith to address the mess that we as a nation allowed to be created. Do we have the leadership to do this? Yes, we the American people are that leadership. It’s not going to be found in one individual or even a small group of individuals. It is going to be derived from the collective will and wisdom and good faith of the American people demanding that we right our nation.
Four R entitlement programs. Again, Social Security and MediCare and MediCaid were and are unaccountable promises made by transient politicians. They cannot be kept. We all know this is true. We no longer believe there are magical ways by which impossible, unaccountable political promises can be kept. These entitlement programs must be drastically amended and probably phased out completely. There is no escaping this reality, and Americans know it.
Do leftists’ believe they can still play kick the responsibility down the road, and use fear to defeat a Four R-ing of these programs? Of course they do. But they are wrong. The American people are awake; and the American people aren’t stupid—they are in fact much smarter than their elected officals.
Obama, Reid and Pelosi are waking up Americans to their God-given heritage, and rallying their inherent God-given decency and honesty. The radical left agenda takes a cynical, calculating soulless, godless view of the human condition. It is fundamentally false, and it will fail.
The great question of our time, and the determiner of whether the baby boomers can someday claim their own place among America’s greatest generations, is whether there is enough prayer and faith among them to win this war and bring about the restoration of America without violence.
We think it can be done. The American awakening has happened much faster than many thought possible; it has been coincident with the speed with which the revelation of the true nature of the Obama administration has occurred. We see no signs of the slowing of either. As Obama, Reid and Pelosi conspire and bribe and threaten and push their way to their imaginary great stake in the heart of America, they are only throwing gasoline on the fire of the American spirit, and exposing the evil for all to see. The Four R movement is coming, and with it, the restoration of America.
