Evil Is As Evil Does
The Story of Obama, the SEC, Goldman Sachs and Google
We know the civilized punditry does not permit use of the word ‘evil’ to describe the Obama administration. Brazen, arrogant, and defiant are ok if used occasionally; maybe even ‘partisan leftist’ can be used once in awhile. But “evil”? No, that will brand you some sort of religious antique (at best), stuck on concepts of truth and morality and virtue that have long since been made obsolete by the more sophisticated among us.
Count us among the antiques.
The massively orchestrated charade surrounding the SEC’s legal action against Goldman Sachs, timed deliberately to coincide with and support Obama’s plan to demonize Wall Street and gather more control for his administration, is beyond Machiavellian. Rush Limbaugh covered this extensively on
his show today,
and while he doesn’t need an echo chamber from Brushfires of Freedom, we think he throttles back on what he says because he knows how much the Obama thugs would love to catch him saying something that they can spin into indecency or ‘sedition’. On that basis, he’s just not going to use the word ‘evil’ to describe what these people are doing. But we will, because that’s exactly what it is.
Understand the chronology:
1. News of the SEC’s legal action against Goldman Sachs breaks on Friday, April 16 (and the stock market takes a 100+ point hit).
2. Organizing for America, an Obama-controlled website, is also out Friday morning with a pitch to all supporters to get behind Obama for the legislative fight over regulatory reform that is expected to begin in the Senate the following week. Just a coincidence, no doubt.
3. Appearing Monday night, April 19, for an interview with Charlie Rose, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel blandly denied any foreknowledge of the SEC’s decision on legal action or the timing of the release of information regarding that decision. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs makes the same bland denial on Monday.
4. Late Monday night or early into Tuesday morning,
the New York Post reported
that internet surfers, surfing the web apparently sometime between Friday and Monday, find that entering the search terms “Goldman Sachs SEC” on Google returned as the first listing on the very top of the page a White House paid-for link to a “Help Obama Change Wall Street” website. The Post reported that the White House ‘political arm’ paid Google for the right to have its website pop up first but would not say how much they paid for it (or when the deal was made).
Now, the fools and rubes that occupy most of the Pravda media positions can look at the chronology and see mere coincidence. The sage but morally vacuous punditry can see the orchestration and dismiss the coincidence foolishness, but they will tell us the correct response to all this is to grudgingly admire the hardball tactics employed by the administration to sell its legislative approach. And of course, the erudite left-wing lawyer can be counted on to weigh in with the don’t-worry-pat-on-the-head that assures everyone that buying a search link from Google is not illegal and the whole thing is no big deal because there’s no guarantee that buying the Google search result will also result in internet surfers clicking through to learn about (much less be convinced by) the Obama proposals. And finally, a Peggy Noonan-type can be expected to just shrug it off with some variant on ‘grow up, this is the big leagues, and people do stuff. Get over it’.
Here’s the more important point. Rahm Emanuel and Robert Gibbs are now recognized by Americans as look-you-right-in-the-eye-and-lie-to-you people. Not exaggerate to you or ‘spin’ you with half-truths (although they do that as well) but lie right to your face. And then mock you for questioning them or doubting them, and then accuse and intimidate you if you persist in questioning them.
This is evil, folks. Plain and simple. It is intolerable to have such evil occupy high places in American government.
Here’s another important point. Google is blatantly on board with the Obama agenda. Who knows what other search results they are orchestrating? Over the weekend a search for “Tax Day Tea Party Photos” returned at the very top of the first page photos of an anti-Tea Party protest.
This, too, is evil. It is exploiting the public’s belief that Google represents an unbiased, somehow neutral, quasi-mechanical, objective method by which information is gathered honestly in response to a good faith search. It is taking advantage of the public’s trust in a carefully cultivated image of reliability and integrity in order to drive a political agenda left undisclosed—in other words, to achieve, through deliberate manipulation and abuse of trust, what they have decided to be good for everyone. This is repugnant.
Evil, fraud, outright criminality. The Obama government and its enablers.
It’s not going to last. (That’s one of the advantages of being a religious antique—you’re never fooled by the latest claim that deceit and dishonesty can last).
We don’t know when the Obama government will collapse, but
it will.
The American people aren’t fooled anymore. The lies are becoming more obvious, not less. The American people have lost all trust in this government, and this government will not regain it. Maybe there are still enough
bribery/slush funds or extortion tactics
to secure a few more legislative ‘victories’ for the Democrat majority, but they will be Pyrrhic at best.
The American people—even those who are not religious antiques—are discovering that evil is as evil does.
