Stop the Epidemic of Panic

Global-warming-requires-shutdown-of-industry, swine-flu-requires-billions-for-vaccines, financial-meltdown-requires-TARP, oil-leak-as-worst-environmental-disaster-in-history, healthcare-crisis-requires-government-takeover—every one of these crises was and is a fiction, a whipped up illusion of fear and danger designed to turn the heart of humanity once and for all away from its stupid faith in a loving God, and to trust instead in superior men and women to tell us what we must do in a godforsaken world.

The Pravda media is a desert of secularism, and the radical left is another name for aggressively godless intellectualism. Put them together, as they are now, and we are bombarded every day with the next crisis and the next demand that we yield to their pictures of certain calamity unless we bow to their prescriptions. Their arrogance is unrelenting; their belligerence toward any who would question their supremacy is unabating.

But thanks to the worldwide web and talk radio, people all over the world, and especially Americans, are starting to see this charade more clearly than ever before. We know about Climategate, even if Pravda suppresses the story. We know the government is being forced to burn millions of doses of unused vaccines for a swine flu epidemic that never was. We know the financial meltdown had more to do with government meddling in the mortgage business than private sector malfeasance; we know the bailouts have had a lot more to do with union payoffs than objective necessity. We know the BP oil leak news coverage reached maybe the all-time high in hyper-ventilating media idiocy. We knew before the healthcare vote and we know now, that there never was a healthcare crisis in America.

And so we know that what we’re up against is an elitist, godless ruling class that survives on the peddling of lies. We know that if we turn on a network news show, or read a mainstream newspaper, we’re hearing lies and agendas and spin—all day, every day. They are worthless, and we now know it.

We also know that the ruling class has most of the Judeo-Christian ministry under its sway, or at least duped into accepting the premise of the ruling class narrative, and then contorting their messages to serve the ruling class agenda (the Christian ‘green’ movement being the foremost example). But the great thing about the wake up that is occurring throughout America is that it is a stirring of the hearts of men and women who are of every class except the ruling class. It is a stirring of the ordinary who are in fact extraordinary. And it is not going to be stopped.

It’s fashionable to consider America’s founding fathers to have lived in a bygone era of wigs and formal speaking; discerning and applying truths that are no longer truths. Under this view, the divine Providence, or ‘nature’s God’ in which they trusted is a quaint fiction of the 18th century.

The American wakeup ongoing in 2010 is once again putting the lie to all this fashionable nonsense. The accessories of life—whether wigs in 1770 or iPhones in 2010 or something else in 2230—are always changing. Truth does not change, and the truths stated in the American Declaration of Independence will never change or become untrue.

We do not live in a random, arbitrary and capricious world devoid of any truth or principle other than animal courage and material force. We are not spiritually and morally vacuous masses having existence without purpose. We have nobility and goodness in us by reason of the nature of our Creator; and we have ‘dominion’ (the Bible’s word) over the cares and fears of this world insofar as we follow the spiritual and moral guidance we’ve been given. This is no Pollyanna worldview, because there is also evil that must be recognized and confronted and defeated. But we have reason to expect good to triumph if we act on it.

The founding fathers had exactly this expectancy, and they acted on it. Abraham Lincoln had this expectancy, and acted on it. Ronald Reagan had this expectancy, and acted on it. They all faced their share of crises, too, and in many cases, the crises were a lot more substantial than the media-manufactured fears of today. But the same principle applies in overcoming ours.

We can wake up from and get through this wild, godless nightmare. We’ve already awakened enough to see how we have been manipulated by the ruling class media and politicians. We can see that the epidemic of panic was bogus; a bunch of lies emerging from an utterly faithless condition of thought that is determined to make you see and accept mortal danger in a salt shaker. Now we have to stand up, persist, and see to it that this ruling class is removed from government and the media, and that those who take their place now and in the future are better grounded in the truths of the American founding.

Winston Churchill voiced many of these same thoughts in his time:

“When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits – not animals. There is something going on in time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

We have a duty to tune out the calls to panic; turn away from following lies; and respond to our higher calling that the spirit of the American founding makes to all of us. As we do so, we’ll see a lot fewer crises, and the ones we do have to face, we will face with clear, firm action accompanied by calm trust and confidence that good will prevail.
