In this Theological Struggle, Obama needs to be the First Domino
A lot of thinking people see it, but not many want to face it: the world in 2011 is in the midst of a profound theological struggle. Calling it political or even ideological just doesn’t get all the way to the problem.
Endless commentary can toil at the level of economic policy, or government philosophy, or human rights, or justice, but all of these are derivatives from the core theological questions.
Does God exist or not? And even deeper, who or what is God? Deeper still, what is man’s relation to God? The unifying dimension of all these questions: is there such a thing as Truth?
Elites like to engage in a lot of eye-rolling in response to these questions, and prefer to scurry back to comfortable worldviews that can explain and contain what is happening in what seems like a safer, easier box. But it can’t be done.
America’s founding represented a revolutionary stake in the ground on all of these questions. It didn’t answer them in detail, but laid a new nation’s foundation on the conviction that humanity was on the way to finding them if the right organizing principles were acknowledged.
While the Declaration of Independence and Constitution are not generally viewed as religious documents, they are in fact products of Judeo-Christian theology, and that is precisely why they are always under attack, and why the attackers always have one thing in common: a hatred of God; a hatred of Judeo-Christianity.
Barack Obama is the product of decades of godless drift in America, which led a majority of voting Americans to be completely undiscerning about the
symptoms of godlessness
and worse, the consequences of it.
Obama was raised in an atmosphere of hate for America and Christianity; cultivating a cynical, despairing, victim-oriented outlook toward the whole Judeo-Christian idea of a God who is good, of men and women created in His image and capable of good, of right and wrong and good and evil defined in relation to the teachings of Judeo-Christianity. Obama carried this chip on the shoulder throughout his childhood, and it reinforced his stepfather-induced embrace of Islam—after all, at least Islam wasn’t evil Christianity and wasn’t American, and it seemed in Obama’s eyes to be the religion for people of color—so why not embrace it?
Books will later expand on the basic thoughts captured in the preceding paragraph; suffice to say for now that it captures the essence of why America with Obama in the Presidency is wholly out of synch with America’s foundational strength—which is another way of saying: it captures the essence of the theological struggle we are in.
Obama doesn’t believe in the God of Judeo-Christianity—it’s not possible to reconcile his attitude and behavior toward Israel with any form of genuine Judeo-Christian faith. We doubt he has much of a belief in Allah, either. We’d guess he thinks it’s all a bunch of idiocy for small minds, but he still would rather side with Islamic militants as the way to get back at the American/Judeo-Christian prominence that he has for so long perceived, resented and wanted to set right.
And so we get from Obama: silence for protestors in Iran—because they would overthrow militant Islam; support for rebels in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya—because Obama’s read on the ground is that they will lead to more militant Islamic influence in each of these nations/regions; silence in Yemen and Bahrain for the same reasons; and we get routine and ever more strident condemnation of Israel as the source of all problems in the Middle East. And by the way, we also get from Obama support for the Ground Zero mosque, lectures on not jumping to conclusions about the motives of the “Allahu Akbar” murderer
at Ft. Hood;
and Chicago pal Dick Durbin calling for hearings on the protection of Muslims' civil rights in the US.
We don’t need any more
dots to connect.
Obama supports
militant Islam.
He is anti-Judeo-Christianity; he is anti-America-as-founded; he is anti-Constitution. It is as plain as day, and a healthy majority of Americans already see it. It’s just the cowardly politicians who refuse to see it or refuse to face it, and just want one more day to enjoy the perks of office in the hopes that the whole charade can be held together long enough for them to have their fun and fame and then allow them retire to some gated community where some form of private security (they think) will keep the chaos they have created from reaching them.
There is no more time to waste. There are American men and women being sent into harm’s way to serve a cause that seeks America’s destruction. This is insane.
Impeachment has to start now. War without Congressional authorization is impeachable—even an all-time lightweight like Joe Biden knows this. Step up, Congress! Both Democrats and Republicans—it’s time to realize we’re past ‘the emperor has no clothes’ moment. Everyone knows Obama is a fraud; everyone knows this can’t continue. Traditional protect-the-party instincts have held out the longest, but real Americans, regardless of historical party affiliation, know in their heart of hearts that preserving America is more important than preserving political parties. Obama is a danger to the whole world. He needs to be impeached and removed.
NOW.
