Real American Diversity
In taking another look at the mid-term election results, let’s take a roll call of some of the new officeholders in America:
Congressman
Allen West,
Florida – Black American
Congressman Tim Scott, South Carolina – Black American
Governor Nikki Haley, South Carolina – Indian American
Governor Susana Martinez, New Mexico – Hispanic American
Governor Alberto Sandoval, Nevada – Hispanic American
Senator Marco Rubio, Florida – Cuban American
With this kind of ethnic diversity, the Pravda media would surely assure us that these are all liberal Democrats. The Pravda media surely would be filled with stories of how these courageous candidates had to stand against the angry white racist Republicans, and only through the steadfast financial and organizational support of SEIU, ACORN and moveon.org were they able to prevail. The Pravda media would surely tell us how the election of these candidates proves the racist tea party movement isn’t nearly as powerful as the tea partiers think they are.
Only there haven’t been any such Pravda stories. That’s because these new officeholders are all conservative Republicans who benefitted in large part from support from the tea party movement.
There is so much
American goodness
represented by the election of these people,
not because of the color of their skin
or because of where their parents were born or because of their gender, but because they demonstrate the unifying truth of America’s founding ideals. Their values and political instincts are grounded in the
spirit of the Declaration of Independence
and the US Constitution. They are grounded in
a Judeo-Christian worldview
that sees the individual as the child of one Creator, with inherent rights to equal dignity—not better and not worse than anyone else—and rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, free of government control or supervision. They believe in hard work,
‘earned success’
and the highest and best sense of
individuality.
They believe
limited government is the answer, not modern day liberalism.
They are, simply, Americans.
So the next time you hear the Pravda media peddling the politics of group identity and group grievance; the next time you hear the political punditry telling you that
all minorities are block-voting Democrats;
the next time you hear the public indoctrination universities teaching that the only political home for non-white America is the Democrat Party—you’ll know you’re being lied to, again. And you’ll be determined to join Americans across the country in doing everything possible to put the American mainstream media
out of business.
