Dear Dick....
It's time for you to complete your role as an American hero and patriot... We haven’t heard much from you since your May speech to the American Enterprise Institute. We concluded our comment about your speech this way: The political world had made much of the fact that both Obama and Cheney would be speaking on the same day on the same subject (though it was apparently just an accident of scheduling and not planned). But in hindsight we may someday view the ‘accident’ of timing as evidence of ‘divine Providence’ at work in a way not anticipated and not containable. These contrasting speeches and approaches may make at least one of the key turning points America has needed and has been looking for in the absolutely critical mission of stopping, reversing and rescinding the radical leftist agenda of Obama. All we need now is a ‘Cheney-esque’ speech on the power of a free market economy, and the rescue of America will be underway. Well, sir, it’s time for that second speech. Feel free to call it “A New Birth of Freedom”, as we described in this essay. But whatever you call it, it’s time for a Cheney-style, no punches pulled, common sense, straight talk, double-barreled delivery of a message that puts the lie to the outrageous hijacking of America that is being attempted by George Soros and his radical minions, including Barack Obama. Your first speech put the lie to the left-wing national security agenda; now it’s time to put the lie to the domestic agenda. We know that you know what’s at stake. We know you know exactly how fraudulent this administration is in relation to the appearance they put before the America people prior to the 2008 election. We know ‘fighting mad’ is the attitude you sense from and share with the majority of Americans. And we know you love this country. We know you consistently profess no desire or intention to run for President. We wish you felt otherwise. But we believe America and mankind are at a moment of history when a powerful speech by you would actually be more important than anything you could do as President. It would place your name alongside Lincoln and Reagan as American patriots who stepped up when nobody else had the courage and conviction to do so. The left can’t hate you any more than they already do. The extreme irony and tragedy of the left’s agenda is that it is poisonous and destructive to every human being. They are instigating their own demise through catastrophic ignorance and a malicious will to act on it. In a truly heroic way, a speech by you which would derail their agenda would be a blessing to them while rescuing all of humanity from the monumental disaster that would surely follow the loss of America as the beacon of freedom to the world. If you need help writing the speech, let us know. We doubt that you need any help. This stuff is in our gut; it is part of our makeup as the creation of God; it is part of our DNA as Americans. Give it a voice! Contrary to Pravda and Axelrod spin, the Obama administration is on life support. The people are not fooled, and they are not buying any more slickly packaged lies. It is time to pull the plug, not on grandma, but on their entire agenda. Theirs is the most egregiously fraudulent administration in American history. A speech by you will finish them off.
