Borderline Insanity

The contrived left-wing assault on the honesty and decency of the people of Arizona (including men and women of every race) is going to pay big dividends to conservatives in the next several election cycles, and it will definitely add further force to the tsunami that will sweep leftists, including Obama, out of office.

On the media-reported surface of things, your blood might boil at the rising media noise about boycotts of Arizona businesses and tourist sites, and the Illinois school district that proudly stepped in and denied a women’s basketball team the right to travel to a post-season tournament in Arizona because of its new immigration law.

The reason for the dividends, and the reason your blood needn’t boil, is that the whole episode is exposing the incredible ignorance, arrogance and moral stupor that characterizes thinking on the left. The mainstream media just can’t believe that the American people are able to determine what the facts on the ground in Arizona really are: an unprotected border; out-of-control drug gang violence and criminality; brazen defiance of law and order by people not legally in the country—and a duly elected legislature taking action to pass a law that is virtually an exact parallel of the federal immigration laws that are not being enforced by the federal government in Arizona. There is no new standard of arrest or detention; there is no racial profiling. There is a terrified citizenry doing what anyone not brain dead would do when they are feeling physically threatened by lawlessness: insist on enforcement of the law!!!!

The details of what the Arizona legislature passed are actually known by the American people, and the American people are fully able to go around the mainstream media to determine and relate to exactly what is happening in Arizona—which is what leads to polls showing huge majorities of Americans (64% in the most recent polling) in support of the Arizona law.

Yet the leftist establishment—led by Obama, the media and academia—continues to believe that if they just say that the Arizona law is racist, that will make it so. It’s the old arrogant godless intellectual belief: there is no such thing as truth, and therefore truth is whatever you can make people believe it to be. But that belief is utter nonsense, and the American people know it. So when the Illinois school district acts to show their approved credentials as part of the leftist establishment, they are simply exposing for the few Americans who are not already spitting mad at their leftist government why those few, too, should be spitting mad. And the rest of the American people just resolve ever more firmly that this bunch of political elitists now occupying seats of power in Washington, D.C. must, simply, be removed--lock,stock and barrel.

Bob Bennett in Utah now knows something about the people’s mood; he is sadly symptomatic of how out-of-touch and desensitized even otherwise decent politicians have become toward the monstrous, unwanted and unneeded government they have created. John McCain has picked up the scent--his new Republican primary TV ad about the importance of completing ‘the danged fence’ is a laughable example of just how fast he is trying to turn tail on positions that were sacrosanct to him just a few years ago. He may have just enough POW glory left to pull out one more election, but we tend to doubt it. The American people are the tea party movement, and they are not into rewarding personalities or images or celebrities. They want their constitutional republic back, and anybody who doesn’t get it needs to go. McCain doesn’t get it.

A lot of other political careers are going to end in the coming months, and we say the sooner the better.

The policies and pursuits of the Democrat Party in power are reaching past the borderline of insanity, and nothing illustrates that fact more than the completely fraudulent and malicious distortion of what is happening in Arizona. And so we hope Obama and his minions will stay the course with their diatribes; we hope the mainstream media continues to impugn the good people of Arizona. They are throwing the highest of high octane gasoline on the brushfires of freedom that are burning in Arizona. May they spread even wider and brighter and hotter throughout this country.
