Black Liberation

It will be one of history’s great ironies: Americans with black skin may experience the greatest advance of freedom since the Civil War during the short Presidency of Barack Obama, but the reason will have nothing to do with the color of Obama’s skin. It will have everything to do with the divisive, anti-God, anti-Christian, anti-American worldview of Obama and his fellow radical leftists—which are providing daily, living proof that it isn’t skin color that unites or divides us. It is ideals—the God-given right ideals underlying the founding of America—that unite humanity. They have this uniting and liberating effect because they are true.

All men and women are created equal (no one is entitled to right or privilege over another by reason of birth), and are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Different generations of human beings may rise to or fall short of the spiritual truth and inspiration behind the Declaration of Independence, but whatever shortcomings may exist are the fault of those human beings. They are not due to flaws in the Declaration.

Genuine Christian faith, wherever found, naturally embraces the spirit of the Declaration. The American black community is filled with genuine Christian faith— the kind that Martin Luther King espoused —and it is stirring as never before by reason of the palpable disconnect between what black Americans know and feel in their hearts, and what this guy Obama keeps saying and doing and chortling about.

Among Congressional candidates, Allen West in Florida is probably the most forceful of those who feel and are speaking out about this disconnect; Stephen Broden in Texas is another. In the world of alternative media, Alfonzo Rachel has been an outspoken leader; Lloyd Marcus They are breaking through, slowly but surely, the straitjackets of political party labels and forcing the consideration of ideas and consequences. They are affirming the common humanity of all mankind under Christian theology, and they are ‘spot on’ in understanding how this theology undergirds the founding of America and is the source of America’s greatness and goodness in comparison to all the nation-states of human history.

Honesty, personal responsibility, respect, fairness and compassion are values that do not vary by gender or race, but they come alive with very different levels of intensity and meaning depending on whatever theology undergirds the culture in which they are practiced. The Judeo-Christian theology of America has provided unique impetus to the expression of these values, and has propelled American society over the course of its history to be characterized by the most ‘equalized’ treatment of men and women, and of all races, as has ever been seen. These are objectively demonstrable facts which all the leftist dogma in the world can never change.

The American tea party movement is awakening all of America to these facts. Readership of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are reportedly at record highs. And utterly and completely contrary to the left-wing media portrayal, the tea party movement includes all races and all socio-economic classes. They are united by a love of country, but on a deeper level, they are united by their Christian faith. It is not a faith characterized by denominational distinctions; it is the ‘real-deal’ Christian faith of humble and grateful people who know in their hearts that the place of God in society is going to determine when society is on a right track and when it is off track. America has been on the right track through most of its history because of its allegiance to the spirit of the Declaration.

Black, white, brown and yellow-skinned Americans are awakening to their shared heritage under the Declaration and their shared faith which brings it all alive. This is bringing liberation from the godless liberalism that has gripped America for decades. This is true liberation for black Americans (as well as Americans of every other skin color), and has enormous potential for good throughout America.

It took a black man’s perverted misunderstanding of American ideals to wake up all Americans to the enduring rightness and value of those ideals. Not the way a narcissist would draw up his legacy, but a good legacy nonetheless.
