It’s “Let’s Roll!” Time Again in America

Todd Beamer sounded the first call; it’s time to answer it again

Most Americans vividly recall: Todd Beamer was the passenger on United #93 who didn’t just sit in his seat as the Muslim hijackers took over control of the aircraft. He made one or more calls on his cellphone; learned what already had transpired in New York City on 9/11, and realized his flight was part of the overall attack; recited the Lord’s Prayer with the person he had reached on his cellphone; after the prayer, voiced the words, “Let’s Roll!” and then proceeded with another passenger or passengers to take on the hijackers and foil their plot to fly the plane into the White House or the Capitol. He paid with his life and the lives of all the passengers, but he defeated the attackers and foiled their plot. He didn’t think of himself as a Republican or Democrat on that day; he was an American determined to do anything in his power to stop the attack on America.

It’s extraordinarily sad and painful to have to say it, but we’ve reached another “let’s roll” moment in America. And it’s also discomforting to have to point it out, but the metaphor to 9/11 is extraordinarily apt.

On 9/11, Islamists posed as normal passengers on an American commercial airline flight. Their pose was a cleverly planned lie, made to hide their intent to completely alter the path and purpose of the flight. Todd Beamer and one or more others on United #93 finally realized what was happening, and decided it wasn’t going to happen on their watch. They took action and stopped it. In a way, they pledged their lives and sacred honor to stop an attack on their country.

In November 2008, Barack Hussein Obama posed as a moderate American Democrat (and Christian) in order to win election to the Presidency. He lied, willfully and brazenly, on every count. His defenders will spout that he warned he wanted to ‘fundamentally transform’ America, but not 10% of the American voters in that election had any idea whatsoever of what he meant. And they had no idea of what he meant, not because they are stupid, but because he lied to them.

Obama is in no sense a moderate; he is the most radical of radical leftists. He’s barely recognizable as a Democrat, though it has become difficult to know what an ‘average’ Democrat is anymore. And there are more than a few people who wonder whether he’s even an American citizen, not by reason of the location of his birth, but by reason of his time in Indonesia as a child and the possible renunciation of citizenship that he may have claimed in connection with his time in Indonesia and with his application(s) to attend and receive aid at American universities. And if he is not a Muslim himself (and there are doubts about that as well), he surely is a Muslim sympathizer. To continue the 9/11 parallel, in a common sense way that almost Americans have now recognized, the Obama administration, in combination with fellow leftists Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, have truly hijacked the American government.

• The takeover of auto companies, insurance companies, banks?

• Government by unvetted czars?

• Trillions of new spending that cannot possibly be funded? Trillion dollar deficits?

• Billions for ACORN?

• The nationalization of healthcare, when the people plainly did not want it?

• Bowing before Saudi kings and Japanese emperors, cozying up to thugs and dictators, dissing America’s longest running and deepest allies?

• Deserting and threatening Israel?

• Gutting our nuclear deterrent?

• Attributing racism to American citizens afraid for their safety in Arizona because of a federal government that won’t enforce the law?

There just isn’t a gentle way to describe all of this; if utter defiance and disdain for the will of the American people and where they want their country to go isn’t akin to hijacking the American system of government, what is? They have hijacked the ship of state, if you will, and they are trying to crash it in and onto Washington, D.C., and along with it, to take down the America of the founding, once and for all.

So Americans now know they’ve boarded their own Flight #93. We now know these people were liars; they are hijackers; and they must be stopped and they must be stopped NOW. The American people must be a collective Todd Beamer, pray first, and then act to put an end to this criminal fraud.

So what does this mean?

First, it means the American people need to stop pleading with their Congressmen to vote ‘no’ on the next initiative, whatever it may be, of the hijackers. The American people tried that with every ounce of energy and sincerity and good faith that they could muster in connection with opposing Obamacare, and the hijackers went ahead and passed it anyway.

No, it’s time for the American people to force their government to do a full U-turn. It’s time to demand that Obamacare be repealed right now, by this Congress. No waiting until November; enough is enough. It’s time to demand the dismissal of all czars; the unwinding of whatever can be unwound in the stimulus bill as well as every other piece of legislation or regulation that may have been passed or enacted in Obama’s term; it’s time to demand that cap and trade, amnesty, financial institution reform, and every other radical leftist agenda item be shut down. And it’s time to demand that this Congress, right now, start impeachment and removal proceedings against Obama.

And if the Congress won’t do it? Then the pressure has to be ratcheted up. If faxes, emails and phone calls won’t work, the offices of Congressmen and women must be surrounded and occupied until the individual Congressmen get the message and take the action being demanded.

And if the Congress still won’t do it? Then it’s time to pray again, and be prepared to act on the answer, whatever it may be.

The good news is, we are in a better position than Todd Beamer, who knew there was little chance he would survive the foiling of the hijackers. But if enough of the American people will rise up, we still have a chance to take back the controls of government and safely land our Flight #93. Notwithstanding the healthcare episode, the Congress will eventually bend to the will of the people if the people make their will known, repeatedly, unambiguously, unwaveringly. Right now the politicos are holding on to the belief that they can hide behind the cover of the mainstream media spin; they don’t quite believe that the American people have completely tuned out the mainstream media. But they can be made to believe and understand that the American people have had it and are deadly serious about putting a stop to this madness.

It’s up to us, the American people. There’s no more excuse for not recognizing that our government has been hijacked by a criminal, fraudulent cabal; no more excuse for the idiocy of thinking these people mean well but are misguided. There is zero reason to think this cabal will change course; every day we wake up to another disastrous policy, action or speech. Like the 9/11 hijackers, they are determined to kill the idea of America and all freedom-loving Americans with it. They won’t stop until we stop them.

To hell with them. Let’s roll!
