New American Heroine: Ann Barnhardt

One of the great callings of this era is for humanity to wake up to the true nature of Islam, and in particular to appreciate anew the monumental differences between the society, culture and living conditions that emerge from Judeo-Christian teaching as compared to those that emerge from anything else.

There are hopeful signs that America is waking up and, as usual, the wakeup first occurs in the bedrock, heartland of America, among Americans gifted with an innate grasp and appreciation for the Judeo-Christian heritage of America, and an equal spirit of rebellion against both the malicious and the sloppy thinking that would deny, dispute or dilute the importance of that heritage.

Enter Ann Barnhardt, Kansas-born, raised on a farm, college-educated and now a Colorado-based commodities broker. A bona fide non-elitist; a bedrock American who knows and loves the Constitution, and has had enough spunk, drive and intelligence to brush aside both apologists and antagonists of Islam, and study the Koran for herself. And she has come out fighting, with a spirit and style that will make the latte-sipping crowd cringe at her rough edges, while the mainstream of America will stand up and cheer.

Watch her increasingly viral video takedown of Senator Lindsey Graham and his pathetic me-too condemnation of the recent Koran burning by a Florida pastor. (Click here). Decide for yourself what you think. Put aside issues of personal style and focus on the substance of what she is saying. She is spot on in her assessment of what the issues really are, and the wider her video is spread, the more waking up that will occur. She is doing more than her share in the cause of preserving America as founded, and for that we are happy to designate her as a new American heroine. We’ve been sounding the alarm and setting brushfires of freedom on these issues for awhile. Humanity itself has to come to grips with some tough questions. Is Islam a religion of peace? Is the Allah of Islam the same Deity of Judeo-Christian theology? Is sharia law compatible with the American system of government? These are the real questions.

Americans at a gut level already know the answers to the real questions are all ‘no’. But the toughest part of the real questions is the invariable confusion created by conflating theology with people. The questions are NOT: are there peaceful people who call themselves Muslims? Or, are there Muslims who have a concept of Deity that is different than the Allah of Mohammed? Or, are there Muslims whose concept of obedience to sharia law does not cause them to murder infidels? The answers to these questions are all an easy ‘yes’. But humanity’s direction, and its ability to avoid cataclysmic evil, are going to depend on achieving clarity and unity on the answers to the real questions.

Ms. Barnhardt has stepped forward for America and humanity. By labeling Islam as ‘a totalitarian political ideology masquerading as a religion’ she has indirectly posed the real questions, and by quoting the Koran she has thrown down the gauntlet to those who want to avoid the real questions.

As America has been enduring the Soros-Obama nightmare and gradually waking up, we have been confident that new American heroes would emerge from a variety of walks of life. Check out these: Allen West, Kyle-Anne Shiver, Andy McCarthy, Old Jarhead, Glenn Beck, Robin of Berkeley, Christine O'Donnell, and Bill Whitlle. Ann Barnhardt is a worthy addition.
