Dear Barack....
Time for a little heartfelt brotherly and fatherly advice, and maybe a little ministerial advice thrown in for good measure.
We’ve been
steadily calling
for your resignation, or impeachment and removal from office. And though it often sounds hollow to say these words, ‘it’s not personal”. We’ve noted before that your life’s associations got off to a bad early start through no real choice of your own, and it’s pretty hard for anyone to break out of a circle of associates who all think alike and reinforce each other. When everyone around you is a leftist, it’s no surprise that you would emerge with a leftist worldview of your own. And when you enter into Chicago politics with a leftist worldview and have the path to every elected office cleared for you at every turn, it’s probably natural to think you’ve got everything figured out, and to think speechmaking must be equivalent to leadership and moral authority.
But the seriousness and the dangers of the real world are closing in on you now, and the chaos and despair and fear swirling around you is no accident. And all the leftist assurances and spin and speechmaking are not going to make these go away.
See, what apparently nobody ever helped you to learn is that there is such a thing as God, and there is such a thing as Truth, and the mission and message of Christ Jesus was and is divinely inspired for the benefit and blessing of humanity. Even more important to the office you hold, the founding of the United States of America followed directly in the line of this divine inspiration.
The ideals of the Declaration of Independence are not dated; they are timeless. Their power to inspire and uplift is unparalleled in human history because of their rightness. The godless worldview is always disputing and disparaging these ideals by magnifying snapshots of the human condition which are inconsistent with them—the prime example being slavery—but also forever failing to recognize that it was and is the very power of those ideals that lifted Americans to rid their nation of the institution of slavery, and to advance beyond tribalism and racism more than any other society in human history.
Those same ideals—which we have summarized repeatedly as individual freedom and responsibility under God -- are what have made America a tremendous force for good throughout its comparatively short history. The Nazis and Japanese would never have been defeated without America, but America did not engage in imperialistic takeover of these or any other defeated countries after the war. The people of Berlin were set to be starved to death, but America stepped up and saved them, but did not take over any land or any people as a result. South Korea exists and is free because of America, but again, there was nothing taken in exchange. Saddam Hussein was a vicious madman dictator whose cruelties to his own people were unspeakable, and America removed him without taking over Iraq or its oilfields or anything else. Afghanistan under the Taliban was hell on earth for women and children, and they are free today because of America (though now barely hanging on due to your indecision).
The list goes on and on. And aside from military endeavors, the American people have long been the most generous people on the face of the earth, consistently delivering massive humanitarian assistance upon various natural and unnatural disasters around the world. And apart from military might and selfless generosity, the American record of innovation and achievement and advancement in the standard of living—following directly from the embrace of their God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness—is simply incomparable to any other society in history.
The leftist worldview isn’t likely to be moved by these examples; there is within it an unspoken hatred of the very idea of God, of Truth and of divine authority, and therefore a consistent hatred and disputing and denial of that which is good. And so within this worldview everything is turned upside down, and what is good is argued into being evil, and what is evil is rationalized into being good. Terrorists are freed, and CIA officers are prosecuted. The rule of law in Honduras is scorned, and the tyrants of Venezuela, Cuba, Russia and Iran are honored. The people of Israel are made into the enemy, and Islamist hatred is legitimized.
Your leftist advisors are now pushing you to withdraw from Afghanistan and allow Iran to have nuclear weapons, and the left-wing pundits are just waiting to swoop in with the most polished prose to assure one and all that such moves are courageous, visionary, and certain to lead to a peaceful new world order. They will lead to the exact opposite; to wars and human suffering in catastrophic proportions; to hell on earth for untold millions. It doesn’t have to be this way.
The rejection of Chicago by the International Olympic Committee should have awakened you to just how far off base your advisors are in understanding the world and the motives and interests of the players in it. It surely should have alerted you once and for all that rhetoric is not power; that the world does not share in a messianic view of any American President. The collapse of public support for nationalizing the American healthcare system and imposing massive emissions cap legislation should also tell you how badly your advisors have assessed the spirit of America.
George Soros and all his money so far seem to have convinced you that he has everything figured out, and that if you just stick to his agenda, America will crumple to its knees and surrender its God-given heritage.
I’m here to tell you—this isn’t going to happen. You have a sycophantic media who won’t tell you, but I will: a strong and growing majority of Americans do not share the leftist worldview, will never share the leftist worldview, and will not embrace it at the barrel of a gun. As a result, you are already finished as a President. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi can pull out all the legislative and procedural manipulations known to man to pass this or that piece of legislation, you can sign it, and Axelrod and the media can spin it as success all they want, but it is all a fraud and a lie. The people are awake and are on to the lies, and they have had enough.
You’ve got one chance to redeem yourself; to set yourself within reach of the truly great; and to help salvage the future your daughters will grow into. In the privacy of the biblical ‘closet’, you need to acknowledge that you are massively and irreparably and irretrievably over your head in holding the office of the American Presidency. You need to acknowledge that you portrayed a false image of yourself and your worldview to the American people in order to win an election. You need to ask God’s forgiveness and the forgiveness of the American people for the fraud you committed. And you need to resign, NOW.
And here’s what will come as a surprise to you: if the contrition and humility you express in resigning is genuine, that same spirit of America that is so adamantly opposed to the leftist worldview is the same spirit that would extend a loving hand to lift you out of a sense of failure—and forever out of the godless, leftist worldview that nearly destroyed you.

P.S. to friends of Brushfires – Yes, we know the chances that Barack Obama will read our letter and follow our advice are about the same as the chances Chicago will host the 2016 Olympics. But it’s worth the try. The leftist grip on power will not hold. For Obama’s sake and the nation and the world, the unclasping needs to happen willingly, and now.
