This is the Answer: Demand Obama's Resignation

Agree with and consent to the power of righteous indignation of the people, and watch what happens

The Political Class, and the polite community of pundits that surrounds them, are desperately trying to preserve Obama and his godless left-wing administration, but they are beginning to understand that the gig is up, and the power of their words to keep a lid on the American people’s anger is gone. The American people want this government removed from power; they did not vote for any part of this insane agenda; they have made clear that they oppose it; and they are watching with horror and disgust as so-called elected officials defiantly proceed against their wishes and their will.

There remains too much of the ‘but what can we do?’ attitude among the American people. Their ingrained respect for democracy causes them to believe there is no choice but to wait for the next elections to reverse the current course; their respect for the rule of law rejects any action that smacks of lawlessness. There may also be a fear of the inevitable heaping of scorn from sophisticates that is sure to fall on anyone among the American people who might suggest that any other action by the people could have political power to stop this outrage.

At Brushfires we can handle the scorn, because what the sophisticates don’t understand, and what the American people do understand but need just a little more faith in, is the moral power of an aroused and indignant people. The Bible’s speaks of this is in these words: “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”.

In this case, Americans have seen enough. Barack Obama is a fraud; he lied to the American people about who he was and what he believed and what he intended. The American people can see the lies; they know they have been defrauded; and they are livid. It is time for the American people to demand Obama’s resignation—vocally, stridently, persistently, unwaveringly.

We’ve made the case for resignation many times, and every passing week—in fact, almost every day—the case gets larger and stronger. Let’s update here for the first week of January 2010.

Flight #253

The security failure associated with Northwest Flight #253 over Detroit is an uncontainable source of anger among the American people (on top of the Ft. Hood massacre, it is far past ‘the final straw’). This anger will not let up, and it will not be satiated by official pronouncements of new security measures or any other words of Robert Gibbs or Obama himself. Because the roots of the security lapse—a failure to acknowledge a war being waged against America, and an inexcusable inability to discern that this is a war between good and evil—are not only not being addressed by the Obama administration’s response, they are being vividly highlighted with every aspect of their response.

America is at war with Islamists. Islamic theology may be capable of different interpretations, but the Islamists’ interpretation is not some wild ‘off the wall’ distortion—the Koran can easily be read to endorse the killing of infidels; the oppression of women; the killing of those who leave the Muslim faith; the killing of Jews, and on and on. Islamists are not common criminals in America; they are enemies of America; they are the antithesis of everything America was founded upon; they are at war with America—they must be defeated, which may mean a large number of them have to be killed in order for the message to get through that we will not submit to their theology. The American people know all of this.

Every American who goes through an airport security checkpoint knows that we should be profiling to identify Muslims and then screening with questions and judgment and not just machines to determine whether they should be allowed to fly. Americans are long past the point of not wanting to have an innocent Muslim’s feelings hurt; they’d frankly like to see some innocent Muslims step up and denounce Islamists and support profiling and jailing Islamists and then make their own case for why Islam should be considered a ‘religion of peace’ compatible with the American Constitution.

But what will come out of the Obama administration? A new screening machine for underwear? Or how about a strongly worded condemnation of government agencies which failed to ‘connect the dots’? What dots? Define the dots—the first and foremost of which is: Islamists pose a grave threat to America! Stop treating them as if they are common criminals; stop the insanity of civilian trials for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed; stop telling us of our need to apologize to Islamic countries; stop telling us of the greatness of Islam. But of course, none of this will happen because Obama doesn’t think like an American, which is why Americans will continue to boil long after the Pravda media shuffles the story off its front pages.

Health Care Backroom Deals

The Flight #253 national security disconnect is stirring a fury that will only get worse because the Obama administration not only refuses to address the elephant in the room that every other American sees, it keeps trying to argue that there is no elephant. And over on the domestic front, the elephant in the room is the ‘behind closed doors’ corruption that characterizes the ongoing Congressional process of reconciling the healthcare nationalization abominations that passed the House and Senate.

The American people hate what their elected representatives are doing, and have made this clear in every way imaginable. Matt Drudge is now highlighting the 8 separate times that Obama promised transparency—even live CSPAN -coverage of the legislation process—for the healthcare debate. Pravda can spout whatever venom they want toward Drudge, but 24 million hits per day suggest that a very large segment of the population is getting the information Pravda believes can be ignored. But it can’t, and it won’t be ignored. And it is adding to the fury of the American people every single day.

SO….at the kitchen table, around the water cooler, at the local Starbucks, in the church meeting, at the bowling alley, in the sports bar, on the subway, on the campus, off the campus, on talk radio, on every blog, in comments to every online news story, on protest signs at tea parties—the American people must start talking about the need for Obama’s resignation, and demand it. The subject must reach the newsroom of every media outlet, the headlines of every news story, whether in print or online, and the crescendo of public moral outrage must be at a level impossible to ignore. Robert Gibbs must address the question, offer his usual flippant response; forced to address the question again, offer the next response of trying to cloak his boss in the mantle of American tradition; and then forced to answer it again and again and again as public pressure mounts and Obama’s resignation becomes the single dominant subject of Americans’ conversation.

The power of the moral outrage of American people is more than enough to cause Obama to resign, and this fraud and evil to collapse. This is the nature of evil—it will fall when it is faced squarely, called what it is, and confronted by good. The Nazis were never a majority of the Germans or even a large minority—they were noisy and aggressive, and were not confronted until it was too late. The Soviet Communists were an even smaller segment of the people, and could have been resisted and defeated had there been an informed and alert majority.

In America today, the radical leftists represent maybe 5% of the American people, and they are not strong and never will be strong in any moral sense. They rely on lies and legal machinations and media propaganda to get and stay in power (just like the Nazis and Communists), but this time they are being met with an informed and alert and aroused majority that is fed up. All that his needed is a channel for this fury, and it need not be violent. It just has to be bold and unafraid and unambiguous—the American people must publicly proclaim: Obama must resign. NOW.
