You Want to Learn Real Rules for Radicals?

Most of engaged America has heard of Saul Alinsky and his book, “Rules for Radicals”. Alinsky is a sort of patron saint of radical leftists, including Obama, Bill Ayers, and Bill and Hillary Clinton. His book is all about agitation, or ‘community organizing’ for the purpose of defeating whatever Alinsky considered to be the unjust establishment. He dedicated the original version of his book to Lucifer, which ultimately tells you all you need to know about who and what he thought he was fighting for, and who and what he thought he was fighting against.

You want to learn real rules for radicals?

First, get firmly in your mind the historical concept of a human king: an all-powerful personage by reason of ancestry and not merit; an all-powerful authority in all human affairs in his kingdom; a determiner of the fates—including life or death—of all who are under his rule; determiner of the fortunes—riches or poverty—of all who are under his rule; prosecutor, judge and jury if he so chooses as to whatever he deems offensive.

Now, imagine getting right in the king’s face, and here’s what you tell him:

• There are self-evident truths the king cannot change; he is subject to and must submit to them.

• There is one Creator, and the king is not the Creator (out the window goes the king’s concept of being all-powerful)

• All men and women are created equal by this Creator (out the window goes the king’s concept of authority by reason of ancestry instead of merit)

• All men and women have rights untouchable by the king, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (out the window goes the king’s authority over the fates and fortunes of his ‘subjects’)

Next, you don’t just tell all of this to his face; you put it in writing and publish it for the world to see. And in front of all in the world, you invoke the aid of divine Providence to make it stick. And by the grace of divine Providence, you DO make it stick.

The founding fathers of America—who did all these things—were the real radicals. Their statements to the king were the real rules for radicals; the real rules for organizing, not just a community, but a sovereign nation—a nation whose later achievements in furtherance of the cause of human freedom under God were and are unprecedented in human history.

That the founding fathers lived those rules, and backed them with the pledge of their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor, earned them the true greatness that history has assigned to them. Saul Alinsky wasn’t a great man or even a good man; he was, like many before him and many after, a man mad at God and religion, and determined to prove he could overturn divinely directed rules for right and righteous living, make up his own rules, and rule others with them in spite of and with spite at the very idea of one God. (Yes, we know Wikipedia tries to make Alinsky into a thoughtful, good man, but Wikipedia entries are written by left-wingers using Alinsky tactics to make Alinsky appear to be something he was not).

A great deal of contemporary opinion seems to think the jury’s out on whether the founding fathers’ rules for radicals will trump or be trumped by Alinsky’s rules for radicals. But to stick with the courtroom metaphor, the issue has never even gone to the jury. Alinsky’s rules were dedicated to Lucifer; the founding fathers’ rules were not just dedicated to ‘divine Providence’—they were given by divine Providence. They are not going to be trumped or overturned, not by Alinsky, Obama, Clinton nor by anyone else.

The American people know these facts in their hearts, and their hearts are stirring like at no time since, perhaps, the time of the founding fathers. They intuitively love the America of the founding, and they want it restored. Obama and his sycophants are slowly waking up to, if nothing else, the fact that Americans know these facts in their hearts. They seem bamboozled and flummoxed by tea parties, by huge majorities of Americans supporting what Arizona has done to deal with border security, by continued support for offshore drilling and energy exploration. So it’s unclear what they will do as they realize Alinsky’s rules just don’t cover what to do if it turns out there really are such things as ‘self-evident’ truths, and divinely inspired and protected real rules for radicals.

But it is clear what Americans have decided: Obama and his fellow Alinsky-ites do not belong in American government. The stirring that is going on across the country is in the process of sweeping all Alinsky-ites (read: Democrats) right out of office.
