The Word for 2010 is: REPEAL (UPDATED)
We’ll probably get off this kick of updates of old essays, but today’s Barney Frank/Chris Dodd triumphalism over another unread monstrous evil labeled ‘financial institutions regulatory reform’ impels and in fact compels the update of this essay (scroll down for the original version).
Michael Steele and the Republicans throughout the country can stop trying to argue the merits and demerits of any Democrat legislation or regulation that has been passed since Obama’s inauguration. They can now consolidate around one message for every House and Senate campaign in the nation in 2010: Republicans elected in November will act to REPEAL each and every action taken by this government, not partially, not over some phased period of time, but completely and immediately. If Obama threatens to veto these repeal actions, so be it.
The rationale need be no more complicated than this: the Obama/Reid/Pelosi government has turned out to be a fraud on America, and the American people know it. A fraud on this scale cannot be dissected and analyzed for bits and pieces here and there that might be worth considering. Everything—every law, regulation and rule passed by this administration must be thrown out, and we must start over. That is the only sane thing the people can do in the aftermath of fraud. Once a person or persons have shown to you that they will lie to your face, you cannot trust one thing they have ever said or done. Period. As applied to a fraudulent government, this means: repeal everything.
The hard part for Republican elitists is that the full and unmistakable dimension of repeal must include Obama himself. Yes, he needs to be impeached and removed. Yes, the people are ready for this subject to enter the national conversation; it will be extremely dangerous to the stability of the nation and the world if this subject does NOT enter the conversation, and very soon. American Presidents and Congresses cannot run roughshod over the will of the people and the foundation of the Constitution, but this President and this Congress are doing it every single day with the most brazen in-your-face attitude ever witnessed in America.
This is the face of evil run amok in America. It’s time to get right in its face and stop it. No negotiation with it, no compromise with it, no legitimizing it in any way. We are facing a runaway tyranny with its eyes bulging in contemplation of the next stake it can drive into the God-given blessing of individual freedom and responsibility under God.
Repeal. REPEAL. REPEAL! This is the only Republican slogan for 2010.

Original Essay
Americans are ready to take back this country, and the rallying cry is simple and powerful
A simple rallying cry for retaking a conservative Republican majority in the House and Senate in 2010: REPEAL everything the Obama/Reid/Pelosi government has done.
Any unspent stimulus: repeal it.
Any unfunded budget deficit in out years: repeal it.
Any tax increases: repeal them.
Government ownership of banks and auto companies: spin out immediately to American taxpayers.
Actions by ‘csars’: demand the repeal of each and every official action taken by them, and demand their resignation or take the issue to the Supreme Court.
Actions by the EPA and each and every other agency headed by this government other than the Defense Department: demand they be repealed, or defund the agencies.
Efforts to purge Republicans from civil service positions: repeal them.
Cap and trade: repeal it.
Nationalized healthcare: repeal it.
In an extraordinary gesture of good faith, the American people gave the Presidency in 2008 to a largely unknown candidate, but they had no idea how much had been concealed or misrepresented about just how radical and America-hating Obama really is. The American people are now wide awake to the fraud that was carried out against them, and they are livid. Make no mistake about it, and do not be deceived yet again by our morally vacuous media.
Obama’s economic prescriptions are bad enough; no one with any experience owning or running a business and creating jobs would endorse the policies being pursued by Obama. Obama’s constant America-bashing apology tours are also disgusting. And the Obama/Reid/Pelosi government’s extraordinarily brazen, totalitarian power grab in nationalizing healthcare in the face of obvious and fierce opposition by the majority of Americans is over the top by any historical measure.
But what may ultimately do Obama in permanently is his handling of the Ft. Hood massacre. There are some things that can’t be faked—and genuine compassion is one of them. Obama plainly doesn’t feel it for the American soldier generally or for those who were murdered at Ft. Hood. He voices the intellectual approach to tragedy, reading the teleprompter’s phrases—especially the little prompts that say “look serious and somber here”—but not connecting in any way with the humanity of what has happened. And when that lack of compassion is compounded by what can only be called an insane refusal to acknowledge the jihadist action that this was—every single sentient American is absolutely repelled by Obama’s behavior and attitude.
The American people are not stupid. American soldiers are not stupid. Apparently the only stupid people are the cowardly blowhards in the Beltway who are willing to trot out every conceivable and inconceivable explanation for what happened except the one that is right and true that everyone with a lick of common sense knows.
The White House and the media are whistling past the graveyard of total rejection by the American people. Their Ft. Hood coverage is not playing well in Peoria or anywhere else. There may be some ultra-drugged out, wacked out liberal enclave somewhere that is buying the White House spin, but it’s nowhere near 5% of the American population. 95%+ are astonished that we have a government that has no grasp on right and wrong, no concept of good and evil, no clue about the nature of the Islamic menace.
For many, this state of affairs is frightening. For us, the broader awakening that is occurring and growing every day in complete defiance of the media and the spin artists is truly heartening. Our country is in better shape than it appears; it just may take two election cycles to reflect the extent of its health.
Which brings us back to the theme for 2010: REPEAL. The hand-wringing moderates and RINO’s will shout “No!, No!” to such a theme…it’s much too strident…the people must have wanted some of what Obama has done or else they wouldn’t have elected him….we can’t just be the party of ‘no’….etc., etc.
It’s time to shout “No!” to the moderates and RINOs. The American people didn’t vote for one iota of the actual policy agenda being pursued by this radical leftist President and his anti-American comrades. Not. One. Iota. And the American people are ready, willing and eager to storm the polls to repeal this entire fiasco. And yes, sooner or later, repeal is going to apply to Obama himself, only it will be called impeachment and removal. So for all the pundits and analysts and political sages who want to be paid millions to determine political campaign themes—we’ve done your work for you. It’s captured in one word: REPEAL.
